Never doubt Kim Kardashian’s commitment to aesthetic.
Every year, the Kardashians unveil the various Christmas-themed things, from decor to their annual Christmas card. This year, Kim’s decorations are causing some…interesting reactions.
The Kardashian Christmas celebrations are pretty famous.
They tend to go all out for their Christmas cards, for example. This was from 2012, when the card was at its biggest — and still included spouses. And also Rob.
I almost feel the need to apologize for this.
Things got so weird in 2018. Khloé looks like she was photoshopped in, everyone is super FaceTuned, and Penelope looks like she wants to run away.
Anyway, the point is that the Kardashians have some interesting interpretations when it comes to Christmas traditions.
This year, Kim shared her Christmas decorations on Instagram.
And boy are they interesting!
She posted a tour of them on her Instagram story. Things started out pretty normal with the outside lights, which look pretty good! That’s gonna be one hell of an electric bill, though.
She then headed inside.
Kim said all of her trees inside were custom made for their Christmas Eve party in 2018.
Points for reusing her decor, I guess! I wonder if there’s a secret Kardashian warehouse where they store all of their Christmas stuff?
Their house is legit all white.
“They’re so whimisical, like Whoville, but all-white.”
That is exactly what they look like, actually. Kim also showed off their Christmas tree, but it’s just a regular tree. Who wants to see a regular tree when these squishy white trees are available to look at?
However, the internet thought those trees looked like…well, everything other than trees.
I’m upset. Before, I thought they just looked like weird trees that were probably soft to the touch.
Now I can’t unsee the fact that they absolutely look like tampons. Thanks a lot, Twitter.
Some people just straight-up HATED them.

Kim Kardashian, if you don’t know what to do with your decorations after Christmas, I will happily take one for my cats. Thank you.

The next thing you’ll need is some cotton balls, some hot glue, and cleaning services that can come through your house and dust them every single day.

I guess some people not only hate the decorations, but straight-up hate her and Kanye’s house on the whole.
I mean, all-white isn’t for everyone, I guess! I would get so bored in there.
Kim and Kanye’s house is… unique.
They definitely love a minimalist aesthetic, and every time they share pictures from inside their home it’s all the same modern, white, blank look.
This is their dining room.
The white chairs, white table, and white limbless statues are pretty classic decorations.
Their bathroom also raised a few questions.
Like, does the shower just spray water directly onto the floor? Is there no divider between the shower/bath and the rest of the bathroom? What is happening ?
Kim actually had a pretty cool way to describe her house.
Speaking to Vogue , Kim described their house as a “minimal monastery.”
I don’t know exactly what that is but their house is what I would picture if I heard it.
Back to their decorations — Halloween was an interesting one too.
They did all black/green pumpkins stacked in a pile. The Kardashian-Wests have some unique decorating ideas.
So unique, in fact, that their Christmas ones even got a NSFW comparison that is actually pretty accurate.
This is the most SFW tweet about this that I could find.
I searched, and I searched, and the only vaguely SFW tweet I could find that expresses this sentiment is this one.
Everyone else said they looked like…well, you can imagine the words they used for yourself.
Boring is the word of the day.
It just goes to show you: 1) Taste is entirely subjective, and 2) Expensive doesn’t always mean nice.
Please don’t come for me, Kim. It’s just that your house is all white and that’s just not fun at all.
Meanwhile, Khloé went for something a little different.
A hot pink Christmas tree with a faux-fur skirt? I am dying . This is what I meant when I said “fun.”
Like, it may not be your fave thing, but it’s definitely different.
Kris, Kylie, and Kourtney still haven’t revealed theirs.
But the month is young, and they are the Kardashians. So we can be sure that it’ll be over the top and slightly ridiculous.
I’ve always wanted a black tree, personally…but that’s just me.
