Dog The Bounty Hunter's Daughter Addresses Suicide Rumors

It's never good news when a celebrity death hoax goes around the Internet, but it seems especially cruel to create a death hoax about a celebrity who has publicly struggled with grief and mourning this past year, like Duane 'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Chapman.

After the death of his wife, Beth, in June, Dog bravely admitted to having suicidal thoughts closely following her passing.

In an with People, Dog reassured his fans, saying, "I don’t want to die right now. I’m not afraid to die anymore, but I really didn’t care for awhile if something would happen. I do care now.”

Since then, rumors of Dog's death have been persistent.

A week ago, Dog had to confirm that he had not died via TMZ after a rumor started on Facebook that he had died of a heart attack, just weeks after Dog had been hospitalized for a heart emergency.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, more rumors began circulating about his death, this time by suicide.

The rumors reached Dog's family. Dog's daughter, Bonnie Jo Chapman, took to her Instagram story to dispel the rumors. “Hey there, just wanted to make it clear: my dad did not die to suicide, he’s taking a nap right now,” she says in the video.

“He’s completely fine."

Bonnie emphasized not to believe any sources that were not directly connected to the family, saying, "Unless you hear something from me or my family, then it is false.”
