Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell have a Message for Amanda Bynes Amid '90s Con

Twenty-three years after the original show ended, the recently concluded 2023 '90s Con saw the reunion of the All That cast members, excluding Nickelodeon star Amanda.

The actress who starred in the sketch comedy show from 1996-2000, revealed she would appear at the event alongside co-stars Kel, Kenan, Danny Tamberelli, and Lori Beth Denberg.

However, according to That's 4 Entertainment, the organization behind '90s Con, Amanda was forced to miss out on the event due to an unidentified illness.

The movie star's attendance at the highly-anticipated reunion would have marked her first public appearance since the end of her eight-year conservatorship in March 2022.

Although Amanda was absent, she was remembered by her colleagues, who spoke to ET and left a message for the beautiful actress.

Speaking to the outlet, Kel confessed that he had been praying for Amanda, after which he noted that it was awesome to see his colleague was doing better, which was great. "We're just continuing to pray for her on her journey, and it's answered prayers that she's doing a lot better," Kel concluded.

Away from Amanda, Kel also spoke about the surreal experience of having the All That fandom continuing for nearly 30 years.

Kel noted that the best part of the experience was hearing the stories, how people said the series touched their hearts in 1994, and how they still loved the show.

Overall, how the show's fans introduced the series to their friends and families said a lot about the cast and crew members, as well as the amazing friendships at the time.

Meanwhile, Amanda is yet to publicly address the health concern that stopped her from attending the event, but in January 2023, the actress told People she was very excited to reunite with her castmates.

All That was created by Brian Robbins and Mike Tollin and originally aired on Nickelodeon from April 16, 1994, to October 22, 2005, lasting ten seasons.

The series, which was billed as SNL for Kids, boasted short comedy sketches, often featuring recurring characters like Good Burger employee Ed and teenage superhero Superdude.

In 2019, a revival of the series with original cast member Kenan serving as executive producer and Kel rejoining the cast was confirmed, with the 11th season airing in June of that year.

The last episode of the series aired on December 17, 2020, after production was suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It launched Amanda into her noughties romcom era before the embattled star stepped away from acting.

While Amanda has stepped away from acting, her All That co-stars are still making waves in the movie industry. Recently, Kel and Kenan announced that "Good Burger 2 is a go."

During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Kel and Kenan opened up to host Jimmy Fallon and the audience about what to expect from their characters in the second installment.

"Ed is running the place, so you can imagine how that might go. Dexter's still up to his crazy antics. And Good Burger might get into a little bit of trouble, but that's all we can tell you at this point," Kel said.

Adapted from All That, Good Burger was released in July 1997. The comedy told the story of a student who was forced to get a job at a fast food restaurant after wrecking his teacher's car and had to pay back for damages. However, the student's job became at stake when a new restaurant opened up next door.

After the movie's release, viewers hoped for a second installment. After 26 years, their wishes came through and production is set to begin in the summer.
