Justin Bieber Shows Promising Improvement Months After His Face Was Paralyzed

Justin Bieber seems to be a lot better, as he recently shared a video on his Instagram story of himself flashing a bright smile. The star announced last year he was struggling with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, and his health hadn't improved until yesterday's update. 

In the video, you could see only Justin Bieber sitting as he records himself with the selfie camera, and a caption text read, "WAIT FOR IT… ." As the video progressed, the song Ice T by Oscar-nominated singer, Tems, could be heard playing in the background.

The Love Yourself singer could be seen wearing a gray hoodie and a blue puffer jacket. No pants were visible, just a close-up view of his face and upper body.

J.B. was mute throughout the video, as he shared no further details of his health, but the message he wanted to share with his fans was received. Good recovery, Justin!

Many fans will be waiting for his big return to the stage and an announcement about his tour. While the star singer might be able to flash a big grin on social media, his doctors are yet to grant him a "go-ahead" on restarting his tour.

Remember, earlier this month, Justin had to cancel the remaining planned tour he had to do. Plans for refunds to fans had already been announced, and it was due to rising health concerns of it not getting better.

Apparently, that decision to put a pause on the world tour wasn't his to make. Insider sources revealed that his doctors "forced" him to cancel the shows as his health condition refused to improve.

A source close to the star revealed more reasons the tour had to be canceled: "Justin is fragile and has been worn thin lately. He was told that this needed to happen, and he was left with no other choice."

Not only the doctors weren't too keen on the star continuing the tour. The source revealed that Justin's wife, Hailey Bieber, and other family members were concerned about his health and wanted him to rest.

The insider also added that Justin understands the sadness the fans might be feeling. In the words of the source, "He feels horrible about it. He is aware that this impacts so many people who rely on him, and he is committed to making sure that they are all okay."

While explaining the situation, the source said it was an unavoidable situation to postpone the tour. He said, "He knows that if he did not cancel the remaining tour dates, it could have a horrible impact on his overall health. If he does not have his health, he has nothing."

Speaking on Justin's zeal to continue the tour, the source also added, "For so many years, Justin felt like he was invincible and that nothing could hurt him. But after getting sick with Ramsay Hunt, it became so clear to him that he is not."

The star singer announced to his fans in June 2022 that he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt, a viral disease affecting his ability to perform as an artist.

After Justin announced he had Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, he also shared brief information on the disease. According to Mayo Clinic, it's a rare shingles outbreak that affects the facial nerves close to the ears.

The known symptoms of the viral infection are its effects ranging from hearing loss to facial paralysis if not treated quickly.

The 29-year-old singer explained to fans that his struggle with the virus was pretty serious. He said, "This is pretty serious, as you can see. I wish this wasn't the case, but obviously, my body is telling me I have to slow down. I hope you guys understand, and I'll be using this time to just rest and relax and get back to 100 percent so I can do what I was born to do."

After the announcement, Justin also updated his fans on his Instagram story that the situation had only worsened — this came before the tour was finally canceled. 

He wrote, "Been getting progressively harder to eat, which has been extremely frustrating, please pray for me." While adding, "Can't believe I'm saying this. I've done everything to get better, but my sickness is getting worse."

He also added, "My heart breaks that I will have to postpone these next few shows (doctors orders). To all my people, I love you so much, and I'm gonna rest and get better."

Before the flashing smiley good news of his recovery, Justin had previously shared that he was engaging in some facial exercises. In his words, "I'm doing all these facial exercises to get my face back to normal, and it will go back to normal. It's just time."

Adding, "We don't know how much time it will be, but it's going to be okay. I have hope, and I trust God. I trust that this is all for a reason, and I'm not sure what that is right now, but in the meantime, I'm going to rest."
