Fans of Rihanna were not happy with how Jimmy Kimmel pronounced her name during the Oscars, with a fan questioning whether they had been saying it wrong for a decade.

The superstar was among the nominees for the 95th annual Academy Awards. She was recognized for her captivating rendition of Lift Me Up from the famous movie Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Later, Rihanna took the stage to perform Lift Me Up as a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman. The actor, who passed away from colon cancer on Aug. 28, 2020, starred as the Black Panther in the film.

Despite the excitement surrounding Rihanna's nomination for Best Original Song at the Oscars, her track Lift Me Up did not win. The award instead went to the dance track Naatu Naatu from the Indian film RRR.
