Coley Laffoon is honoring his late ex-wife Anne Heche, who passed away in August at 53 after suffering terrible injuries in a vehicle accident. In honor of their son Homer's 21st birthday, Laffoon posted a touching tribute to Heche on Instagram on Thursday.

Laffon, who was married to Heche from 2001 to 2009, paid poignant tribute to Heche in his lengthy post by stating that the late actress is thinking about their son on this particular day.

On March 2, Homer's birthday, his father couldn't contain his joy as he inundated Instagram with pictures of them over the years, including a cute, cheerful, cheek-to-cheek snapshot from Homer's youth and other images from their current road trip, which appears to be Homer's first visits to bars.

His Sweet Message To Homer

"21 years.goes fast. Before you know it the journey of a lifetime has become two lives. Intertwined, inseparable in the sense that what is in one is in the other. Homer is in me as much as I'm in him. It's baked in."

He wrote in the lengthy caption.

Laffon Thanked His Wife

He continued by expressing gratitude to his present spouse, Alexi Laffoon, for supporting them "with every fiber of her heart and body" as she remains at home with their three small children and is also expecting their fourth child.

On Thanking Their Family Friend

He also thanked his fans for coming along and the family friend Aurelia who snapped pictures of Homer as a child.

"We're all intertwined and I'm so glad."

How She Died

On August 5 last year, Heche died from wounds sustained in a horrific vehicle accident.

She Was Clean As At The Time Of The Accident

The Los Angeles County, Medical Examiner-Office Coroner, remarked that the actress wasn't under the influence of narcotics at the time of the collision.

When She Passed On

She was officially certified brain dead on August 11 and kept alive on life support until August 14 so that she may donate her organs.

Laffoon Appreciates His Fans

Laffoon used Instagram shortly after her passing to express gratitude to the public for their support and to give an update on Homer.

“In the wake of Anne’s passing, I just wanted to say a few things,” he began. “One, I loved her and I miss her and I’m always going to. Two, Homer is OK. He’s grieving, of course, and it’s rough.”

Also, he mentioned how difficult it is, as anyone would probably guess, but that he is strong, surrounded by family, and will be Alright.

After a protracted conflict with Tupper, Homer was granted authority over his late mother's estate in November.

She Finished Her Book Before Passing

Homer declared that Call Me Anne, his mother's postmortem book, would be published in 2023.

On Owing Some Money

Since her passing, Anne has been sued on different accusations of loans and others. Actor Thomas Jane claims Anne Heche's estate owes him close to $150,000 for an unpaid loan. Thomas Jane and Anne Heche were romantically involved in the years before her passing.

The L.A. County coroner declared Heche's death accidental and found the actor died of heat burns and inhalation, with a sternum fracture from blunt force trauma contributing "substantially." 12% of her skin's surface was scorched, and she had a lacerated right kidney.
