The actress from The Lodge stated in the interview that previous portrayals of the late legend had a "caricature"-like quality, but that Butler, 31, was able to "capture the humanity."

She Was Emotional After Seeing The Biopic

Riley continued;

"I was in tears for a week because of the film, but also because of his performance,"

Keough shared, revealing that she immediately texted Butler after viewing the film before she'd met him in person.

Keough didn't elaborate on the actor's potential Oscar win, only saying, "Fingers crossed!"

While preparing to make her vocal debut in the upcoming Prime Video adaptation of the book Daisy Jones & the Six, Keough is, on the other hand, following in the musical family tradition.

Pressures From Being A Presley

Although, when ET spoke with Keough at the show's premiere earlier this month, she discussed the pressures of carrying on her family's musical legacy.

What This New Journey Is To Her

"I certainly wouldn't put that pressure on it. I don't know if there is continuing my grandfather's legacy, it’s its own sort of thing to me. But it was a really fun experience for me," Keough said of making the show.

Riley Is Interested In Acting

She continued;

 "I'm not a musician -- or I am now I guess. I've been interested in film my whole life and so for me, it was more really loving to get to have a relationship with music in that way."

She Grew Up Listening To Music

Riley, who is portraying a Rockstar in the series, added that;

"I've listened to music and my whole family are musicians and I've been around this world a lot and been on tour and all that kind of stuff."

Her First Time Doing Music

"But I'd never really done it myself. So for me, it was more about my personal relationship with getting to play music, which was fun."

She added.

Her First Red Carpet Appearance Since Her Mom's Passing

Since the passing of her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, Keough made her first red-carpet appearance at the Daisy Jones & The Six premiere.

More Interested In Her Relationship With Music

Keough shared with ET why she's less concerned with carrying on the Presley family's musical legacy with the series and more concerned with forging her unique relationship with playing music, even though she avoided talking about her mother's death with Et when they spoke ahead of the show's premiere.

Her Latest Project Debut

On March 3, Daisy Jones & The Six will make its Amazon Prime Video debut.

About The New Series

This accounts for how a legendary band broke apart at the pinnacle of its success. According to the official plot summary provided by the streaming service, Daisy Jones & The Six were at the top of the world in 1977.

The band had become well-known thanks to the charismatic performances of Daisy Jones and Billy Dunne as lead singers. They eventually called it quits following a sold-out performance at Soldier Field in Chicago. After all these years, the band members now consent to tell the truth.

Her Role In The Series

Riley Keough, 33, plays Daisy Jones, a free-spirited musician who isn't afraid to defy gender stereotypes in the workplace.

Her Source Of Inspiration

Keough admitted to PEOPLE that her mother's career was unavoidably an inspiration for her role in Daisy Jones & The Six.

"I was raised by somebody who did their own thing and didn't really care what other people thought," she said. "She was definitely inspirational to me."

What She Did To Get The Role

Keough's foray into the music business began with the series, and when she applied for the role of Daisy Jones & the Six, she exaggerated her musical experience, as she later admitted during a screening of Daisy Jones & the Six.

"I auditioned like everybody else, and lied to them and told them l could sing," she explained.

How She Met Her Husband

In terms of her personal life, Keough first met Australian stuntman, Ben Smith-Petersen, in 2012 while working on Mad Max: Fury Road. A year later, they started dating. They made their engagement public in 2014 and wed in February 2015.
