Leonardo DiCaprio and Gigi Hadid call it Quits After A Year Of Dating

The Oscar winner, Leonardo DiCaprio, and his supermodel, Gigi Hadid, have reportedly mutually ended their five months relationship. A source from Gigi states that the relationship kind of "fizzled" out and they are no longer seeing each other after their public outing together — another Hollywood/celebrity saga.

In a discussion, Mohamed Hadid, the father of the supermodel, had a few words to say about his daughter and her relationship with the Titanic lead actor. In his words, "I met Mr. DiCaprio in St. Tropez four or five years ago, and he is a very nice man."

When asked about their relationship, he said, "They are friends — they have known each other for some time." Further commenting he hadn't been in contact with his daughter regarding the relationship. He added, "I don't think they are dating; I believe they are just good friends."

In September of 2022, the 48-year-old Wolf of Wall Street star and the 27-year-old model were first linked after being spotted together during the New York Fashion Week. When the news broke, an insider revealed the new pair of lovebirds were still "getting to know each other," but it seems it became more than that.

Around the same time after New York Fashion Week, while still being a couple, Leonardo and Gigi had been spotted severally together around N.Y.C. A source from Hadid's side stated, "Gigi keeps spending time with Leo in N.Y.C. He is very understanding about her being a mom and works around her schedule to see her — it's very sweet."

While the gist of their relationship was still booming, pictures of the couple together became less. After their last outing in November of 2022, leaving a restaurant in N.Y.C. together, news of the couple became scarce. 

An insider close to them revealed that the couple is at "different places in life." More disclosed comments stating, "She (Gigi) hasn't seen him for a while. She just decided that she was done with him."

The supermodel and Oscar-winning actor live in separate worlds with different engagements. A source close to Gigi said, "she prioritizes being a mother first." This concerns her 2-year-old daughter, Khai, whom she shares with the One Direction star, Zayn Malik.

Before the 27-year-old model and the Inception actor had their moments together, she and the One Direction musician, Zayn Malik, had a thing. In 2020, while together with Zayn, they welcomed their first child, Khai. Sadly, there was an incident with the couple leading up to their split by the following year.

In October of 2021, Gigi and Zayn apparently put a knife through their relationship after an altercation with the musician and mother of the supermodel, Yolanda Hadid.

In an alleged rebuttal statement to reports of Zayn striking Yolanda Hadid, he said, "I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid, and for the sake of my daughter, I decline to give any further details, and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private."

While stating he is a private person, the musician reiterated that he wants "a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in." And only chose to speak out on the allegation due to it being leaked to the press.

While the issues of Gigi's relationship with Zayn had ended in an allegation-filled way, both the pair wanted to keep a peaceful and healthy co-parenting lifestyle. Luckily, that seems to be going well, as Gigi posted a picture of her daughter celebrating her birthday on her Instagram story with the caption, "her baba threw her the best party ! 🥳."

It's no news about Leonardo DiCaprio's relationship affairs being erratic. But, while some people might find his long list of rumored girlfriends and partners distasteful, others don't share similar opinions.

Before his relationship with Gigi Hadid, DiCaprio was just letting go of a 4-year long-term relationship with Camila Morrone. And further down his past was Laura Whitmore, a former Love Island host, Nina Agda, Kelly Rohrbach, and even a rumored fling with Rihanna.

During his relationship with Gigi, just after their last public outing together, DiCaprio was spotted in late December with actress Victoria Lamas. According to sources, he was reportedly supposed to still be with Gigi. Although their relationship was not confirmed, they met up other times when they were available.

Then there's the 19-year-old model story with Eden Polani which caused a frenzy of internet buzz. During this time, observations of DiCaprio's age group dating pattern had already been noticed. The award-winning actor and Eden Polani were photographed sitting by each other's side at Model Riley Montana's album release party.

This time, an insider came out to outrightly debunk the rumors of any romantic relationship between the 48-year-old actor and 19-year-old model. Claiming they only sat next to each other and "just because Leo might be talking to or sitting with a girl doesn't mean he's dating her."

Despite the middle-aged actor almost clocking 50, he has a trail of almost always dating women that are no older than 26 years old. This follows the rumors of Eden Polani, Victoria Lamas, Israeli model Bar Rafaeli, and Erin Heatherton. With Gigi Hadid being amongst the oldest — may be why it ended?

An insider from Leonardo DiCaprio's team has come out to express the actor's displeasure with the running narrative of him choosing younger aged ladies. According to the source, the actor is "extremely single" and "He is looking for something more mature in the relationship department." However, he also commented, "Leo is not keen on the hype suggesting that he is seeking out these very young women."
