Megan Fox Breaks Free: Removes Engagement Ring Machine Gun Kelly Gave Her A Year Ago

Fox made headlines after posting lyrics of Beyonce's Pray You Catch Me, which references dishonesty in a relationship.

“You can taste the dishonesty/It’s all over your breath,” she captioned the post, which also included a video of a bonfire that appeared to be burning a letter and some clothing.

A fan commented on the post accusing MGK of hooking up with his guitarist, Sophie Lloyd. "He probably got with Sophie," the follower wrote, to which Megan responded, "Maybe I got with Sophie."

Soon after, Megan unfollowed MGK on the platform and also deleted all traces of the rapper. Eagle-eyed fans also noticed that she followed Eminem, who had an infamous battle of rhymes with Kelly a couple of years ago.

After fans started flooding her page with questions about her status with MGK, Megan ended up deleting her Instagram entirely. Kelly still has their couple pics up on his feed but has remained mum on the real score of their relationship.

The unlikely duo coupled up in 2020 after Fox starred in MGK's Bloody Valentine music video, putting their romance on full display. The two first met on the set of the indie movie Midnight In The Switchgrass and started hanging out regularly.

Kelly made their relationship Instagram official with a couple pic with a caption that said: "waited for eternity to find you again ... 🔪💫❤️🔪"

The Transformers star lovingly called MGK her "twin flame". She explained that she immediately felt an instant connection upon their first meeting.

"We're actually two halves of the same soul, I think. And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away," she told ET.

Fox said that she believes their connection is written in the stars. It didn't take long for her to make a move. On the second day of filming, she invited Kelly for lunch in her trailer and she put him through "astrology stuff" to get to know him better.

After a year of dating, they announced their engagement on social media with snaps from the proposal that happened under a banyan tree.

Megan quipped that they drank each other's blood to seal the engagement.

"And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes.…and then we drank each other's blood. 1.11.22 ✨."

Going against tradition, MGK proposed with two engagement rings - one is a diamond ring and the other is an emerald ring and they magnetically snap together to form an obscure heart.

"I know tradition is one ring, but I designed it with Stephen Webster to be two: the emerald (her birth stone) and the diamond (my birth stone) set on two magnetic bands of thorns that draw together as two halves of the same soul forming the obscure heart that is our love," MGK explained on his Instagram account.

In an interview with Vogue, MGK further detailed that he designed "thorns" on the bands so that it would physically hurt to take the rings off.

"The bands are actually thorns. So if she tries to take it off, it hurts... Love is pain!" he said.

Megan said in an interview that she appreciated the thoughtfulness that went into the design of the ring and says Kelly is a "very romantic boy".

The twin flames may have already burned out, as more reports have been circulating that there is trouble in paradise.

According to People, a source says that while their engagement hasn't been canceled completely, Megan has already taken her ring off.

The insider claims that the couple had a pretty serious fight over the weekend, which led to Megan being "very upset", and refusing to talk to the singer.

Their last public outing was at Drake's Super Bowl party, shortly after Megan uploaded the controversial lyric post and deleted her Instagram.

While there has been no confirmation of the split from both camps, fans have noticed that Fox looked less than happy in some of their paparazzi pics.

"She doesn’t look happy there," one fan commented.

"Is she crying," another one wrote.
