Olivia Wilde Clears the Air After Criticism Towards Her 'Hot' ASAP Rocky Super Bowl Post

The 38-year-old actress posted a viral video of Rocky watching his girlfriend, Rihanna's Halftime Show. The video showed the rapper happily recording Rihanna's high-flying performance. However, the caption used by Wilde received backlash. The actress captioned the post, "If I thought he was hot before, this really put me over the edge."

A day after being criticized, the House actress shared an image from the same video. She used it to address the criticism. The actress wrote on her Instagram story, "It's hot to respect your partner. Especially when your partner just did thaaaaaat." 

A lot of social media users were quick to criticize Wilde's 'hot' caption. One user wrote that the actress was thirsty for someone else's man. Another user wrote that they hope Rihanna put Wilde in her place.

While some criticized the actress, others came to her defense. One user pointed out that Wilde wrote Rocky recording Rihanna was hot and also tagged them both. Another person wrote there was no need for unnecessary judgments. 

In October 2022, Wilde made headlines following her love triangle with Harry Styles and Jason Sudeikis. At that time, there were alleged revelations about the incident. It was revealed that Sudeikis blocked the Skin actress's car with his body one day when she was on her way to see Styles. Also, the actress gave up her dog to spend time with Styles.

Another revelation was that the mother-of-two left her kids to have dinner with the As It Was singer. While promoting, Don't Worry Darling which she directed, the actress addressed the rumors. Wilde said that she and Sudeikis' relationship was over before she met Styles. 

More revelations were shared by Wilde's children's former nanny, Erika Genaro. According to Genaro, Sudeikis discovered Wilde and Styles were together after he found messages on her Apple watch. The nanny said that Sudeikis showed her the texts and some voice memos.

The nanny claimed that Wilde had told Sudeikis she loved him at that time. The nanny also claimed that in late October 2020, Wilde and Sudeikis were talking about marriage. However, they broke up a month later. 

Still, in October 2022, Wilde revealed that she shared custody of Daisy,6, and Otis, 8, with Sudeikis. The actress shared that being seen without her kids does not mean she abandoned them. She added that it was because she does not want them to be photographed.

In April 2022, the actress was served custody papers in Las Vegas at CinemaCon. The actress called the move a 'sabotage'. However, Sudeikis said he knew nothing about it. At that time, the duo also launched a defense against Genaro's 'false and scurrilous" accusations. 

In November 2022, Styles and Wilde reportedly took a break. The duo was first publicly spotted holding hands in January 2021. However, multiple sources shared they were taking a break due to their busy schedules.

At that time, the source shared they were still close friends. The couple first met when Wilde was directing Styles in Don't You Worry Darling. At that time there was also a rumor that Florence Pugh was seeing Styles. Sources shared that the public eyes on Styles and Wilde's relationship were difficult. 

Styles and Wilde never publicly confirmed their relationship. In August 2022, Styles shared that keeping his private life out of the public eye benefited him positively.

In December 2021, Wilde said a similar thing. She said that it was tempting to correct wrong assumptions. However, it does not matter what strangers think. All that mattered was what was real, what you love, and who you love. 

Presently it can be assumed that the animosity between Sudeikis and his ex-partner has significantly dwindled. Months after splitting with Styles, Wilde, and Sudeikis were spotted outdoors looking friendly with each other. The duo didn't seem to pay any mind to onlookers as they exchanged smiles and summed it up with a hug.

When Genaro made bombshell claims about Sudeikis and Wilde, they put up a united front to squash her allegations. Presently, the duo might have to come together once again to face the current issue as Genaro has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against them.

In a document obtained by Page Six, Genaro claimed to have been fired after requesting a three-day stress leave," which would have involved "radio silence." She further stated that after Wilde left her the home she shared with Sudeikis and their children, she suffered increased anxiety and stress. According to Genaro, this was because her task in taking care of the kids "increased exponentially."

The court document further read, The pressure of [Genaro] not only being the primary caretaker of the children but also filling in Wilde’s absence for the children, became debilitating." She added that the stress caused by the former couple's break up was "close to unbearable."

Genaro, who started working for Sudeikis and Wilde in 2018 and is suing for punitive damages, attorney's fees, and the cost of the lawsuit as a whole. She also hopes to be able to say goodbye to the kids, noting how they "felt so much abandonment from Olivia after she left."
