Mischa Barton's Revealing Story: How Her Publicist Suggested She Slept With Leonardo DiCaprio When She Was 19

As gossip continued to swirl regarding the 48-year-old Titanic star’s romance with French-Israeli model Eden Polani, 19, Barton’s allegation resurfaced on social media.

Back in 2005, when the O.C. star was only 19 years old, she claimed that her publicist, Craig Schneider, urged her to have sex with DiCaprio.

Apparently, Schneider believed it would help her career if she was romantically linked to the Hollywood superstar.

Barton, now 37, and her publicist reportedly saw DiCaprio at a photoshoot in Malibu. The playboy actor had just broken up with Gisele Bundchen at the time.

The actress claimed that Schneider told her, “For the sake of your career, go and sleep with that man.”

However, the Homecoming star wasn’t interested because DiCaprio was over a decade older than her, and she was turned off by the age gap.

“Isn’t Leo, like, 30 or something?” she asked as she revealed the story to Harpers & Queen (now Harper’s Bazaar) at the time.

In the wake of DiCaprio’s new alleged romance with Polani, a Twitter account called popculturediedin2009 posted about Barton’s story with the caption, “this aged well.”

It got some interesting comments. One said, “mind you his current girlfriend is born 2 years before this ordeal.”

Another said, “Mind you this was when he was 30 and she thought he was old and now he’s 50?!!!"

The Mischa Barton-Leonardo DiCaprio romance was doomed even before it started, but the Hollywood heartthrob would go on to date a string of young models after his split with Bundchen.

First, there was Israeli beauty, Bar Refaeli, who was 20 at the time. They broke up when she turned 25.

He also dated Blake Lively, Toni Garrn, Kelly Rohrbach, Nina Agdal, and Camila Morrone (among others), who were all under 25!

And now, he’s being linked to Polani after they were seen together at a party, although sources have denied the gossip.
