On Thursday, the 45-year-old actor, who was filming on the Melbourne, Australia set of his newest project, Ricky Stanicky, displayed his extremely muscular legs while donning thigh-high stockings and a short plaid miniskirt.
The title role in the movie, directed by Peter Farrelly, who also made Dumb and Dumber, There's Something About Mary, and Me, Myself & Irene, was played by the actor who frequently used the catchphrase "you can't see me."
He wore a pair of lace-up booties with a heel to complete his outfit, as he entered his trailer on location.
The funniest yet cutest thing we have seen today has to be our WWE superstar, Cena, in this outfit. We can only speculate how the movie will be if it already looks hilarious from just seeing Cena's outfit.
The film's oddball plot revolves around John Cena's character, Ricky Stanicky, who is an imaginary person that three friends made up and kept for years so they can blame him for their bad behavior.
However, when their partners suspect something, they are forced to hire an ex-actor to play Stanicky, who appears to be John Cena dressed as a woman.
William H. Macy and Zac Efron round out the cast. Although there's no date for release for it yet, it's apparent that John Cena is over the moon about this one. In fact, he couldn't hide his excitement that he took to Twitter on February 1 and talked about the movie.
It's no longer news that the WWE star has taken a deeper liking to acting than sports, as The Suicide Squad star revealed to GQ about switching up careers from wrestling to acting last year.
John Cena said, “The term Hollywood has such a mystique and luster around it. If you’re skilled at doing one thing, and then you transition into doing another — really, it sounds the same, but it’s a completely different thing." He continued, “If you have any chance of success, you have to really, really prepare as much as you can.”
However, The Massachusetts native said that what motivates him to work hard is "just trying to work as hard as I can to catch up to everybody else" and “If you feel you don’t have a head start, you’ve just got to put rubber to the road and work your ass off. So that’s kind of where I’m at, dipping my toes back into the screen side of entertainment rather than live events.”
With the action film released in 2006, the wrestler made his acting debut. The Marine (2006) was Cena's first film role, and he later won praise for his work in Trainwreck (2015), Ferdinand (2017), Blockers, and Bumblebee (both in 2018), and he is still set to make his mark in the entertainment industry.
