John Stamos is celebrating a marriage milestone with a romantic tribute to his wife, Caitlin McHugh.
The 59-year-old Full House star is honoring McHugh, 36, on their fifth wedding anniversary with a priceless and one-of-a-kind gift: a painting that he created himself.
Stamos posted a photo of his painting on Instagram last Friday, which he described in the caption as a “[w]ater color by yours truly.” It shows the couple in an embrace, with the words “1,826 days 43,824 hours 2,639,440 min” written on one corner.
“My favorite 1,826 days, 43,824 hours, or 2,639,440 minutes ever! Happy 5th anniversary, Love!” he wrote in the caption.
That’s pretty impressive—not only is he a talented artist but he’s also honoring every minute he has spent with his wife.
McHugh got sentimental about their anniversary as well. She posted a carousel of throwback photos taken during their wedding in 2018, including their altar kiss and several other pics.
She wrote in the caption, “I love looking back on photos from 5 years ago today. So many smiles, so much love, and I’m so grateful our love continues to grow 💗 What a beautiful life we have together. Happy Anniversary and Thank You @johnstamos for putting up with me all this time. I love you!”
Stamos and McHugh met in 2016 when they worked together on an episode of Law & Order: SVU.
The General Hospital alum reminisced about that first meeting in a hilarious way when he greeted her on Instagram on their fourth anniversary last year.
He wrote, “Some couples meet at work. Some meet through friends. Some on dating apps. I met my wife on a TV show called SVU Law and Order, where I was playing a serial reproductive abuser, trying to secretly impregnate her by poking a hole in a condom- I already had 47 children, but wanted one more.”
After working together on Law & Order: SVU, the pair made a short film titled Ingenue-ish in 2017. They also got engaged that year.
In December 2017, it was announced that they were expecting their first child. Two months later, they tied the knot in Studio City, California. Their son Billy was born in April 2018.
