The 45-year-old explained in the caption following his accident that he and Mick got involved in the crash while he tried to do the side-by-side wheelies.

The TV host posed for a quick selfie with a friend and colleague before heading out on the bicycle.

"No joke, two mins after this photo, we had a huge stack doing wheelies and clipping handlebars. D**kheads. Putting in the big yards for the Bathurst 12 Hour this weekend. Doing a lot of riding. New to it. As our crash proves."

A Great Training Partner

Denyer thanked his friend Mick for being an awesome training partner as he exchanged comments with his cyclist friends and revealed he ended up in the scrub.

"Was fun until it wasn't! Took each out and ended up in the scrub. Naturally we did it on the last kilometre of the run. It’s always the "last run," isn't it." he wrote as he replied to a "Two hands for beginners, legend." comment.
