Megyn Kelly is weighing in on the T. J. Holmes-Amy Robach affair with some scathing criticism.

The 52-year-old journalist made it known she wasn’t sold on the romance aspect of the duo’s headline-grabbing story and instead called it a “massive PR error.”

Doesn’t Look Like 'True Love'

On Monday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, the outspoken media personality slammed Holmes and Robach, saying, “They don’t understand — no one looks at this and says ‘true love.’”

The commentary comes days after loved-up photos of the pair were published following the announcement they’d been axed by ABC.

Kelly added that the two “cheated on their spouses” and children, and while she acknowledged that affairs happen, she believed they could at least have acted “like it’s sad.”

“Stop projecting ‘I don’t give a s–t about anybody who I hurt,’” she said.

Headline-Grabbing Affair

The former GMA3 co-anchors have been capturing headlines since news of their relationship broke in late November 2022. Following the revelation, Kelly said they could have handled the situation differently.

What Robach And Holmes Should Have Said?

“I think those two could have come out, they could have said on the show the next day, ‘We are very embarrassed. It’s true. This was a private matter that we wanted to resolve privately given the fact that we have kids and we have spouses, but we couldn’t, given the Daily Mail report,’” she said.

In her opinion, the two should have asked for forgiveness and then kept a low profile.

'Massive PR Error'

The talk show host expressed dismay over the pair’s “clearly orchestrated photo events” where they packed on the PDA “while their spouses who they cheated on are posting sad-face pictures with their kids, who look incredibly forlorn. That was a massive PR error,” she stated.

That Was Why They Were Fired

She went on to say that those mistakes were a big factor in ABC’s decision to fire them.

Bad PR + Holmes' Other Office Romances

Specifically, Kelly said there were two reasons they got sacked. First, they didn’t handle their PR well. And second, it turned out Holmes had a few other inappropriate romances as well – one with a much younger intern and another with a producer.

Both Needed To Go

Regarding opinions that Robach hadn’t done anything wrong, Kelly said, “You’re going to fire the black anchor and you’re going to let the white female stay? That can’t happen.”
