Reports reveal that American comedian and television show host Jay Leno is back on the comedy stage. The entertainment icon's return comes shortly after he revealed he was in a terrible motorcycle accident, which left him with broken bones. Here are the details below.

Recently, an eyewitness told ET that Jay returned to the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California, on January 29. According to the witness, the comedian seemed to be in good health as he appeared without a sling, given he recently suffered multiple fractures.

Jay had been performing at the club every Sunday since he took over as the host of The Tonight Show in 1992. However, he was forced to cancel the show about two weekends ago following a terrifying motorcycle accident.

Recalling the frightening experience, The comedian stated during an interview that he smelled leaking gas while testing a 1940 Indian motorcycle on January 17 and decided to check what the problem was.

So, he turned down a side street and cut through a parking lot, but unknown to him, there was a guy with a wire strung to the parking lot with no red flag hanging. Unfortunately, Jay didn't see the wire until it was too late.

Jay Suffered Major Injuries

According to the comedic legend, it clotheslined him, knocking him off his motorcycle. The effect of the crash left Jay with a broken collarbone, two broken ribs, two cracked kneecaps, and some burns on his face, hands, and chest.

Jay Received The Best Care

Following the accident, an ambulance took the comedian to a hospital, sending him to the Grossman Burn Center in Los Angeles. There, he received hyperbaric treatment and oxygen therapy that could accelerate burn wound healing.

Despite how serious the accident might have been, Jay didn't make a big deal out of it, assuring the public that he was okay and getting optimum care from the best hospitals. According to the comedian, he just wanted to "keep his head down."
