Jeremy Renner On The Road To Recovery After Almost Being Crushed By Snowplow

He was released from the hospital a few days before and decided to make an update about his situation. Renner shared on his Instagram a picture of him lying on his bed while doing physical therapy.

The Hawkeye actor broke thirty bones after he was crushed by a snowplow on his property in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, while he was helping a family member on January 1st. He was rushed to the hospital by helicopter.

Renner wrote, "These 30 plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens." This is the first time it was revealed the extensity of his injuries since people only knew he suffered a significant trauma that affected most parts of his legs.

He also took the opportunity to thank everyone for their support and good wishes. Several celebrities commented on Jeremy's post. While Heidi Klum sent him her love, his Marvel co-star, Chris Hemsworth, wrote, "Your a champion, mate! we love you." His fans also filled the comment section with encouraging messages.

Though Jeremy's recovery is going as well as it can, there's still a lot to go. Doctors expect he will fully recover in about two years; apart from the broken bones, he also suffered a blunt chest trauma and a critical head wound. According to a close source, Renner spent some time in the intensive care unit, but his condition was stable.

The source also stated that Renner knew he was close to dying. When the accident happened, his neighbor called 911; TMZ shared the audio, and Jeremy was heard crying and moaning because of the pain while he waited over fifteen minutes for help to arrive. When the operator asked how Jeremy was, the caller said, "shallow breath, a lot of pain, he's conscious we have him covered in blankets, his head's covered, he'll be drifting off."

During his stay in the hospital, Jeremy shared in his stories a few pictures of his home, saying how much he missed it. He also shared a picture with all the medical crew that was helping him, thanking them for their work.
