Jeremy Renner's sister has shared a positive update on his recovery, which is good news for all Renners fans worldwide following his terrifying snowplow accident on new year's day.

The Accident Happened Close To His House

The actor was hurt close to his home in Nevada.

According to a statement from his representative, Renner was evacuated to a nearby hospital after sustaining "blunt chest damage and orthopedic injuries" and underwent emergency surgery the next day.

A Fighter

Kym Renner, a sister of the Avengers: Endgame actor, provided details on the progress he has made in the hospital thus far, saying to People:

“If anyone knows Jeremy, he is a fighter and doesn’t mess around,” she said. “He is crushing all the progress goals. We couldn’t feel more positive about the road ahead.”

Giving His Fans Reassurance

The S.W.A.T. actor has also posted pictures and videos of himself in the hospital on social media to reassure his followers that he is getting the care he needs to get better.

Spa Time

Two days after making his reassuring post, the actor uploaded a video to his Instagram Story showing his sister giving his brother a head massage and making him giggle while his mother watched. The actor described the scene as a "spa time to improve my spirits."

Flown After The Tragic Accident For Treatment

The "Hawkeye" actor was flown to the hospital in severe condition on New Year's Day after being struck by his 14,000-pound snowplow close to Mount Rose Highway. The 52-year-old actor is rumored to maintain a snowplow at his home on a mountainside close to Lake Tahoe's Mt. Rose ski resort.

How The Accident Occurred

According to a prior statement from Renner's agent, the tragedy occurred as the actor was "clearing snow from his driveway so that his family could leave his house after celebrating the new year together."

The rep also added;

“He was also helping clear out the snow of his neighbor’s home as everyone up there had been without power for 24 hours, and there had been a large snowfall.”

A Good Neighbor

Renner has a reputation for being a kind neighbor and frequently snowplowing over many years.

At a press conference, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam claimed that Renner's PistenBully became "stuck" as Renner attempted to "retrieve" and "get [it] moving."
