It keeps getting wild by the day as a Bronx man as new information about a gruesome homicide surfaced. Jose Ortiz was held without bail on Sunday after being accused of killing a stranger who reportedly showed up at the wrong place at the wrong time.

According to police and new court records, suspect Jose Ortiz, 65, is suspected of fatally stabbing Tyrone Quick, 45, in the heart.
What A Friendly Visit Turned To?

At the time the tragic incident happened, it was said that the victim was visiting a friend named Vanessa Guzman.
Ortiz Occasionally Made Threats

Guzman was attempting to hide from Ortiz, accused of making irrational threats to kill nearby residents. According to police, Ortiz stabbed Guzman in the chest.
Stabbing Three Times
Ortiz then stabbed Quick three times after Quick arrived, “piercing his heart and causing his death,” according to the criminal complaint filed by the suspect on Sunday.
Appearing In Court

The defendant was carried into Bronx court on Sunday afternoon with his hands behind his back and dressed in a blue shirt, dark gray khaki slacks, face mask, and black sneakers; the defendant was carried into Bronx court on Sunday afternoon.
His Charges
Manslaughter, attempted manslaughter, assault, murder, and criminal possession of a weapon were among the charges brought against Ortiz.
Accused Of Murder

Joshua Fetterman, an assistant district attorney, stated that “Mr. Ortiz stands accused of murder and attempted murder, and we request remand.”

Judge Margaret Martin remanded Ortiz for at least until his upcoming court appearance.
Guzman Survived The Assault

Thank goodness Vanessa Guzman, the victim, lived through the assault.
Justina Cruz, a neighbor of Guzman’s, reportedly told The New York Post that Quick was stabbed while she was attending to her friend’s wound at her apartment.
Guzman’s Statement
“I had no idea that Tyrone was right in front of my f–king door fighting for his life. I didn’t know or I would have helped him, I would have helped him. I didn’t know,” she sobbed. calling the attack “your worst nightmare.”
Passed Out At The Elevator

She claimed that after Quick, who regularly visited Guzman, was stabbed, he boarded the elevator, rode to a higher floor, and then passed out.
Receiving Care
After the attack, Guzman’s arm damage required medical attention but she got the care she needed.
Where It Took Place

However, the scene of the event was a Bronx facility for homeless people, low-income individuals, and individuals with mental health issues.
