Courtney Love is standing her ground and not budging amid her claim that Brad Pitt had her fired from the cast of Fight Club - this amid a source denying she was ever cast in the 1999 movie.

Drama Years After 'Fight Club'

Courtney posted to Instagram on Friday and with a long statement. Here, the actress and singer addressed comments she made on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast last week - Love said that she was fired from the iconic cult movie, having been cast in the lead female role. She claims she was fired after turning down Pitt's pitch to make a bipoic movie about Courtney's late husband, musician Kurt Cobain.

In her statement, 58-year-old Love said that Pitt "pushed me a bridge too far."

In her caption, the "Hole" singer stated: "Re: media/ marcmaron #wtf (fight club fracas),' referencing to her recent interview, and added that she was further explaining the situation because, 'I won’t be speaking on a podcast for another few years!"

Been A While

Noting how many years have passed since ex to Angeline Jolie, Brad starred in Fight Club, Love added: "I am not here 22 years later b****ing about losing a part playing someone's side piece in a movie."

'Fired' By 7 P.M.

After a discussion about a Kobain biopic went south, Love claims that she was "fired" from Fight Club by 7 p.m. She did, however, state that she was "Over" being "Mad" at Brad and hinted that he might be going through his own troubles. The legendary actor continues to make headlines for his ugly divorce battle with MCU actress Angelina Jolie.

No Bitterness!

Courtney did appear to take a swipe at Fight Club, overall, this despite the movie being often regarded as one of the greatest of all time. "It's a movie. Indeed, I passed on better roles [than] that. Who cares?" she continued.
