Elizabeth Hurley is back in the news as she describes her latest travel nightmare. The 57-year-old actress and model has warned others to "avoid flying" after her flight to Antigua left her "stranded." Liz has taken to social media to describe how she was left out in the dry for over 12 hours after her British Airways flight was delayed. Posting on Twitter and saying that her flight was delayed for 20 hours, the ex to actor Hugh Grant vented big-time, and she only took a matter of hours to go viral. Elizabeth was seemingly out to enjoy some Caribbean sunshine. Clearly, though, there's trouble in paradise.

Not The Best Vacation Start

In one tweet, Liz wrote: "@British_Airways Stranded at Antigua airport with no food or water, taxis or hotels offered yet. Plane delayed 20 hours." Grumbling even more and after a little time had passed, the Elizabeth Hurley Beach founder added:

"Still nothing from @british_airways Extraordinary service! Finally, managed to find a taxi ourselves to escape airport after more than 12 hours with no food or water #avoidflying."

Liz still wasn't done, though.

Not Impressed With British Airways

Shading the airline as millions fill airports and flights ahead of Christmas, Hurley concluded:

"Still stranded- no food, water or hotel. Pretty dodgy service @British_Airways."

British Airways has apologized to customers over delays and has said that this particular one was due to a technical issue. The airline said that the problem was also linked to its "flight planning" and confirmed that it was "investigating" the situation on an urgent level. Liz did reveal that she and her friends had hopped into a cab to "escape" the situation.

Personal Reply From BA!

Clearly, being a celebrity has its perks. Elizabeth has landed herself a personal reply from British Airways' Twitter account. The airline got very sorry, writing,

"We're sorry to hear your flight has been delayed overnight and about your experience, Elizabeth. We appreciate this isn't an ideal situation for you. The airport team will do all they can to assist." Elizabeth was likely looking forward to smooth sailing as she briefly ditches her native U.K. for some holiday fun in the sun.

Xmas Movie

Elizabeth has been making 2022 headlines for rising buzz over her latest Christmas in Paradise movie, one costarring sitcom star Kelsey Grammer plus country singer Billy Ray Cyrus. The movie itself is set in the Caribbean, so Liz has been spending plenty of time out in the West Indies this year.
