Kitchen Nightmares fans probably remember Amy's Baking Company all too well. The famous (or really, infamous) episode aired back in 2013, during Kitchen Nightmares' sixth season. It was the first time Gordon Ramsay ever walked away from a restaurant he had been trying to help.

The biggest issue was that the owners, Amy and Samy, were constantly rude, delusional, and didn't take well to reception from Ramsay or their staff. Even after the episode aired, the owners were overly responsive (and incredibly rude) to commenters and reactors all over social media. It got to the point where Forbes made an article about it, using it as an example of how not to respond to negative reviews.

Nearly a decade later, the episode is making its rounds on Reddit once again. Posted by a user named Mad_Season_1994 to the Facepalm Subreddit, users reacted to the clip of Gordon Ramsay walking out on the most delusional couple he'd ever worked with.

The Reddit user uploaded the video of Ramsay walking out of the restaurant to Reddit, but a clip of it also exists on the official Kitchen Nightmares YouTube channel (which also has the full episode available).

Warning: the clip contains strong language.

In The Clip, Things Escalate Very Quickly

Throughout the episode, Ramsay attempts to help Amy and Samy by finding the roots of the struggling restaurant's issues. By the end of the episode, Ramsay sits down with the couple to discuss how things can change, but is met with a lot of animosity.

Amy and Samy react negatively to feedback they receive from Ramsay, with Amy attempting to convince Ramsay that they have a loyal customer base and they don't really need his help. Toward the end of the clip, Ramsay admits that they're beyond his help, and walks out. Amy and Samy continue to proudly claim that they will do just fine on their own.

The restaurant lasted a few years after the episode initially aired, but permanently closed in 2015. The owners claim that it's because they had leasing issues, and not because their business was failing, nor because of their TV appearance.

Years later, Redditors look back at how horribly Amy and Samy both behaved on the show, and on social media afterward. They were also caught in multiple lies while trying to defend themselves against "haters".

Users were happy to learn that Amy's Baking Company closed back in 2015. A restaurant like that should've never been allowed to open.

The Funny Thing Is, They Might Have Had A Chance

Users discuss how much the owners lied about their business.

Redditors discussed how Amy and Samy would frequently steal tips from servers, and were all around really toxic. Apparently, the food was okay, but their management was the real problem.

Redditors also noted that Amy had lied about her baked goods, which apparently came from Costco and weren't homemade.
