Fans and supporters of the Royal Family have just received an early Christmas present in the form of Netflix's first teaser trailer Harry & Meghan — an upcoming docu-series on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Set to premiere this December, the six-episode limited series promises an in-depth look into Harry and Meghan's personal life and is set to give fans insight into matters that have up until now been kept out of the public eye.

The Trailer Begins With A Montage Of Personal Photographs From The Duke And Duchess' Private Collection.

A calming piano begins to play softly as a voice from behind the camera asks, "Why did you want to make this documentary?"

"No one sees what's happening behind closed doors," Harry replies.

All of a sudden, the tone of the trailer begins to change. Gone are the happy smiling faces of Harry and Meghan — swapped out for candid shots of somber expressions, mobs of paparazzi with their flashing cameras, and teary-eyed faces full of uncertainty.

"When The Stakes Are This High, Doesn't It Make More Sense To Hear Our Story From Us?" Meghan Asks The Camera Rhetorically.

The entire project has been kept incredibly hush-hush, but according to reps from Netflix, "The series explores the clandestine days of their early courtship and the challenges that led to them feeling forced to step back from their full-time roles in the institution."

Harry & Meghan will also include interviews and commentaries from various friends and fellow members of the Royal Family — most of whom have never spoken publicly on such matters before.

Netflix Goes On To Talk About How 'Harry & Meghan' Isn't Simply A Retelling Of The Couple's Complicated Love Story.

Rather, Netflix goes on to talk about how the docu-series should be viewed as a commentary on the world today and how we as individuals treat one another.

In less than 24 hours since the trailer first hit YouTube, the 1-minute teaser video has already amassed more than 2.3 million views, leaving countless viewers thirsty for further insight.

At The Helm Of 'Harry & Meghan' Is Oscar-Winning Director, Liz Garbus.

Garbus is no stranger to telling the otherwise untold stories of celebrities. Among her most notable works include What Happened, Miss Simone?, Becoming Cousteau, and Love, Marilyn.

"It's nice to be able to trust someone with our story — a seasoned director whose work I've long admired — even if it means it may not be the way we would have told it," Meghan explained in an interview with Variety.
