Simone Biles 'Screaming Like A Maniac' Over Fiance's Big News

Simone, 25, posted two stories. The Gold Medal winner told fans about what's to come, saying: "You can vote 6x." The Athleta ambassador also shared a video of the voting site with Jonathan's name. Here, she wrote that she "turned the sound off bc I was screaming like a maniac." The 6x vote turned out not to be true, with fans quickly commenting that they were unable to vote for Owens six times.

Simone and Jonathan are happily engaged. The popular couple, who regularly updates with the couples' snaps on social media, first connected in March 2020.

Looks like Simone was A-Okay with Jonathan not quite knowing how big of a deal she really is.

“I didn’t know who she was,” Owens revealed to Texas Monthly in June 2021. “I just hadn’t heard of her, and when I told her that, that’s one of the things she liked.”

“We ended up hanging out right before the pandemic. It was one of the few times in her life where everything was just shut off and she couldn’t do anything. So we used it to get to know each other—really get to know each other. It created our bond and made it stronger. Now I’m so thankful," the athlete continued.

Simone and Jonathan went Instagram official in August of 2020, with a cute selfie marking their romance in an official way. Biles, who is followed by over 6 million on the platform, also made sure to post as the two agreed to get married.

Continuing to gush over Simone, Jonathan added:

“She’s always happy, giggly, bubbly. If I’ve had a tough day at the office, I wouldn’t want to take that home to her. Her personality, man….”

Simone and Jonathan announced their engagement on February 15 of this year. "THE EASIEST YES," Simone wrote while sharing romantic engagement snaps.
