Margot Robbie has always been Hollywood's real-life Barbie, and with her landing the role in the live-action movie, it's no surprise that fans began scrutinizing the face they knew and loved. Based on side-by-side images, many people pointed out significant differences in her facial features despite her admission to getting cosmetic surgery.

They believe Robbie had more work than she's admitting done. It's no judgment here as we understand the pressures of showbiz and its need for "fresh, young faces." Robbie's face was amongst the most used as a wishlist post-Suicide Squad appearance.

So what's changed?

From Youth To Adulthood

Remember that age makes women transform in ways you can't imagine. However, these changes aren't that. The actress had narrow eyes like slits in her teenage years, but they're wider and rounded now in her thirties.

Also, her face has more structure, with her defined cheekbones replacing the chubby cheeks of her youth. Check out the picture above and her current images below.

Not The Typical Showbiz Cosmetic

Robbie's nose, lips, and ears remain unchanged, thus "untouched," which is rare for cosmetic surgery enthusiasts. Typically in Hollywood, the lips are the first facial parts to get work done because of the obsession with plump lips.

Nose Surgery?

We mentioned her nose being untouched, but that's still left uncertain as fans suspect she touched up somehow. Others surmise it's great makeup artistry from a professional - a good contour and highlight do wonders for the face! You have no idea until you do.

Fans dropped comments underneath the post, including one user who expressed frustration saying,

"No one is natural in the business anymore. No One!"

Hydrated Lips And Dental Surgery

Robbie admitted to using a nipple cream for breastfeeding mothers on her lips but not for the reason you think. The actress claimed the Bepanthen cream keeps her lips moist instead of lip balms that supposedly dry them out.

The only "cosmetic" procedure Robbie fessed up to was corrective dentistry and not for vanity. She said,

"I actually have two retainers, one for my bottom teeth which is for grinding my teeth and one for my top teeth which is just so my teeth don’t move."

She wore them since her teenage years, per Daily Mail which Robbie revealed in 2018. Beyond its functional purposes, the actress assures every curious fan that her vanity hasn't reached that height.

Some fans defended the actress, saying it's just collagen from growing up and there's nothing to see there. Truly, the features don't appear that much different except for the eyes, which could be a difference in makeup technique.

Notably, her youthful looks featured thick dark eyeliners and mascara, while her grown-up style was more laidback. Dark eye makeup closes the size while light liners and eyeshadow open it up.

Trick Of The Trade

It's important to realize that actors and actresses wear prosthetic body parts sometimes to fit a role, and Robbie did when playing Queen Elizabeth I in Mary Queen of Scots. Using images like that as a reference isn't the most reliable, as these enhancements are purposely unrecognizable.

Staying Off Social Media

Scrutiny like this caused Robbie to delete her Instagram account, but there's no hiding place for a goldfish. Her fans found ways to keep up with her, especially with her busy festival and premiere runs following the release of consecutive projects from Amsterdam to Babylon and next year, Barbie.
