A sequel? To a hit movie? Groundbreaking.

We live in the age of sequels, prequels, reboots, reimaginings, and more. If something was popular once, it's pretty much guaranteed to be fair game to come back to us at some point — sometimes in pretty anticipated moves, and other times, not so much. A classic film that hasn't gotten the sequel treatment yet is The Devil Wears Prada, and star Anne Hathaway is opening up about the film's chances.

'The Devil Wears Prada' is one of the best movies of all time.

Anne Hathaway is incredible, Emily Blunt won all of us over, Stanley Tucci became everyone's dream work husband, and obviously I don't have to say anything about Meryl Streep's iconic performance of Miranda Priestly for you to know exactly why it was so iconic in the first place.

Anne Hathaway recently reminded everyone of the film at Fashion Week when she channeled her character and wore almost an identical outfit.

It apparently wasn't on purpose. "I wish that I was this clever," Anne said about it. "I wish I had this kind of, I don't know, Machiavellian tendency and I could move all the chess pieces. The truth is it was the outfit that came that fit, and that was the best hairstyle for it. And it turns out people really like The Devil Wears Prada."

"It was a funny coincidence," she said.

"On the way out the door, I was like, 'Oh, I wonder if anybody will notice?'," she joked, adding that "it was a testament to people's love of the movie and how deeply they've taken that film, and that's just a wonderful feeling. I just feel so lucky."

If you've been hoping that the outfit may have been hinting that TDWP might be due for its own sequel treatment, you might not like what Anne had to say about it.

"There's not going to be a sequel," Anne revealed. "It's not gonna happen. It's just like, we can't do it. It's not gonna happen. It exists. There are other films. There will be other films. We can just watch that one again."

Maybe it's for the best!
