There is no one in the dog house more with the public than Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. The singer has gone from a seemingly dedicated family man and musician to an alleged serial cheater, cheater pumpkin eater.
Now, a source is telling People just how Adam is dealing with the fallout and how he plans on recovering from this social media storm.
Last week, Adam Levine's wife of nearly 10 years Behati Prinsloo announced she was pregnant with the pair's third child.
She alleged that she and Adam had been having an affair for a year but that it had ended a few months back. She explained that the singer came back into her life in June to ask if he could name his future baby after her.
This controversy led to Adam breaking his silence on Tuesday. The 43-year-old claimed he did not have an affair with Sumner but that he did "cross the line." Oof.
"I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in ANY kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period of my life," he wrote on Instagram.
"I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it and we will get through it together," he concluded.
Notice how he didn't specify just one person? Well, it seems like that was on purpose.
As it turns out, Adam was seemingly very negligent about who and what he DM'd including some very NSFW messages.
"He admitted that he went behind her back and has been inappropriate. He admitted that he acted like an idiot. She is still very upset though," says the source that knows Behati, who adds that the former Victoria's Secret model is "100 percent committed to her family."
A different source told the publication that every marriage has "its challenges, but Adam knows this was his mistake" and that the singer is "committed to Behati and wants to make things work."
Only time will tell, I guess!
