Kelly Ripa, 51, is keeping it real about what its like to hit a certain age as a woman.

I don't know about you all, but when I was a teenager, menopause seemed like the scariest thing in the world, but now that I get closer and closer to it each year, I'm actually kind of looking forward to it. Sure, the actual process might not be the best, but the end result? Sign me up! Actress and host Kelly Ripa had some similarly complicated feelings about the process herself.

Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos have been through it all.

The couple got married in 1996, and are one of the longest lasting Hollywood couples that we just can't get enough of! The two share three children: Michael, 25, Joaquin, 19, and Lola, 21, but it turns out that during the pandemic, Kelly thought they might be adding a fourth kid to the roster.

Kelly shared to Haute Living that she went through a pregnancy scare that will be included in her upcoming book.

“I will definitely include that time during the pandemic that I thought my husband got me pregnant," she said.

Kelly revealed it was actually Mark who had to break the news to her gently.

“I started taking pregnancy tests daily, but then Mark sort of gingerly said, ‘Could there be another reason why you’re not getting your period?’ and me saying, ‘What other reason could there possibly be?'"

"He really had to walk on eggshells here," she joked.

It was all pretty much for the best, though, since Kelly was happy that she didn't have to "explain to my kids that they were about to meet their new sibling.”

Twenty years is definitely a big age gap for siblings!
