The star was taken to a hospital in L.A. by ambulance with his new wife Kourtney Kardashian by his side as he arrived at the local facility West Hills.

After arriving at the local hospital, however, it seemed the 46-year-old's condition was serious enough for him to be transferred to Cedars Sinai Medical Center.

On Wednesday, fans got an update on the 46-year-old's health condition and what triggered his sudden hospital visit.

TMZ reported that the drummer was hospitalized for pancreatitis, which doctors believe was triggered after he underwent a recent colonoscopy.

Now, after nearly a week, fans are finally hearing from Travis and Kourtney.

Taking to his Instagram story on Saturday, Travis wrote: "I went in for an endoscopy Monday feeling great. But After dinner, I developed excruciating pain and have been hospitalized ever since."

"During the endoscopy, I had a very small polyp removed right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This resulted in severe life threatening pancreatitis."

Travis ends his Instagram story by expressing his gratitude for feeling "much better."

The rocker's wife Kourtney also broke her silence on Instagram stories, explaining to fans what a difficult time it's been for the couple.

"Oh what a scary and emotional week it has been," she wrote, as per TMZ.

"Our health is everything and sometimes we take for granted how quickly it can change."

"I am so grateful to God for healing my husband, for all of your prayers for him and for us, for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support. I am so touched and appreciative."

We're just so happy these two are doing okay!

Get well soon, Travis!
