Britney Spears, 40, has called out her mother Lynne for comments she made about Britney's recent marriage to 28-year-old Sam Asghari.
Britney Spears isn't known for biting her tongue. Whether she's calling out her sister, America's Sweetheart Kelly Clarkson, or her own mother, she's going to make her feelings known, which is exactly what she's done in a recent Instagram post.
“I will never get those years back. [My mom] secretly ruined my life, and yes, I will call her and Lou Taylor out on it,” Britney has said. “So take your whole ‘I have NO IDEA what's going on’ attitude, and go [expletive] yourself,” she added. “You know exactly what you did. My dad is not smart enough to ever think of a conservatorship.”
It doesn't look like things have gotten better between the pair since then.
“Wow !!! Holy holy crap !!! WE DID IT !!! WE GOT MARRIED,” she shared. "So many incredible people came to our wedding and I’m still in shock," she added, shouting out famous guests like Drew Barrymore, Selena Gomez, Madonna, and Paris Hilton.
One noticeable absence from the guest list was Britney's mother, Lynne.
“You look radiant and so happy!” She wrote. “Your wedding is the ‘Dream’ wedding! And having it at your home makes it so sentimental and special! I am soooo happy for you! I love you!”
When asked if she "truly meant it" later, Lynne responded, "Always." Then Lynne was asked if she had any words of wisdom for Britney, and she replied, "I just want her to be happy."
“Hi… Am I happy enough mamma??? What’s the serious talk for???” Britney wrote. “Lighten up ladies… we’re on the same side… remember???”
Britney also seemingly called out her family's treatment of her in a follow-up post. “Well let’s see here… 14 years of waiting in a dressing room for 4 hours before a show putting on so much make up telling ME when they are ready for ME to go on stage,” she wrote. “LOL LOL LOL REAL FUNNY NO ??? It’s nice to GO WHEN I WANT TO.”
