On May 8, fans of Netflix’s Dead to Me were blessed with a very important gift: Season 2 of the binge-worthy show.
This meant that we could finally figure out what came from that insane cliffhanger at the end of Season 1.
Did we get answers? Oh, yeah, AND MORE.
There are honestly just too many thoughts to put into words, so we’ll let these 10+ relatable tweets about the show perfectly sum things up.
Even without quarantine, this would still be accomplished:
We’ve been waiting over a year for Season 2, after all.
In addition to this, did we binge Tiger King in days, along with Never Have I Ever ? Yes, and yes.
The world needs more people like Judy:
Homegirl has been through so much and yet, she just wants the best for everyone.
She’s selfless, caring, and so darn sweet. We all need someone like her in our lives, that’s the truth.
We’re getting some major *Grey’s Anatomy* vibes from this scene:
It’s so hard for Jen to let people in, so the fact that she can be so vulnerable with Judy is truly touching.
So when this happened, it made our hearts melt.
There may be a lot of comedic moments in the show, but when this scene happened, fans couldn’t deal:
It was just such a masterpiece that makes us want to hand them their Emmy’s right now.
It is probably the best scene of the series so far.
Speaking of Emmys, Christina Applegate crushed this role:
Starring as Jen is just so peak Christina Applegate.
Jen is flawed, relatable, hilarious, and just a perfect example of someone who doesn’t take c**p from anyone.
How can I be like her?
We all need a friendship like Jen and Judy’s:
Okay, maybe minus killing each other’s significant others.
But still, we still ship their friendship since they were meant to find each other. There should be an app to find your friend soulmate.
Anyone else get like SpongeBob and Squidward vibes?
These two balance each other out so much.
Like SpongeBob, Judy is always looking on the bright side while Jen (Squidward) is, well, a little less optimistic.
I bet we can all relate to one of the two.
Fans of *Santa Clarita Diet* recognized this new character:
She brought such a good energy to the show AND was the new love interest for Judy <3
Love. Her.
We definitely need more representation of LGBT+ love stories, so it was great to see.
Speaking of Jen’s sexuality, this tweet perfectly sums up how we feel:
“I loved how easy it was. Her sexuality wasn’t made into a big deal, showing the normality of it all. I truly loved the way this was portrayed,” tweeted another.
More please!!!
While some of us binged the show as soon as it came out, it’s taking a bit longer for others:
This means that social media is a very scary time right now.
Tread carefully. The internet can be a very scary place when it comes to spoilers.
*heart melts*
Also, when Jen wrote, “thank you for loving our boys.”
OUR BOYS?? cries
Is anyone else wondering whether or not they will actually be the endgame couple? Or is it really just a fantastic friendship? Either way, I love it.
When everything came full-circle:
This just shows the kind of impact Judy has had on Jen’s life.
Judy softens Jen, which is why their progress together is so beautiful. Friendship is such a pure gift, and this show knows how to write it well.
We’re all Jen:
We have a resting you-know-what face, DEAL WITH IT.
Also, can we just talk about Ben for a moment and how we’re so happy that James Marsden is back?
He’s such a good actor, it’d be a shame not to have him.
These actresses are finally getting the recognition they deserve:
Both actresses have been around for a long time.
Linda Cardellini starred in Freaks and Geeks and Christina Applegate was in 2002’s The Sweetest Thing .
But now people are FINALLY starting to pay better attention.
WHAT WAS THAT ENDING, THO??
We need answers, ASAP.
If Netflix dares to cancel this show, there will be riots.
But we doubt they will, this show is too beloved by many for it to come to such a sudden complete ending.
