I know that being great at gardening is a skill, but it is a skill that you can acquire. So even if you consider yourself someone with a “black thumb” (hello, that’s me), you can still learn a few things. It isn’t too late for you and me.
That’s why I have compiled a list of awesome creative gardening ideas coming straight from folks who kick b**t at it. You’re welcome.
This Green Onion Saver
Who keeps wasting their green onions because they go bad too fast? Ugh, I can’t stand that. But now I’m going to plant them in a flowerpot. You can get at least three-four growth cycles out of one.
This Rooftop Dragon Fruit Garden
If you live in a hot climate, I really envy you. This guy has set up a rooftop garden where he glows dragon fruit. OMG, dragon fruit is one of my favorites. I didn’t even know this was possible.
This Outdoor Oasis
One of the things I would like to do this spring is to set up an outdoor oasis in our backyard. This is just the inspiration I needed. I realize this might take some time to accomplish, but I can grow some patience.
This Tent Idea
Are you looking for a cool idea to grow your been plants? Well, look no further than this tent. You can also grow wildflowers on the sides for an added visual effect, and the kids can play inside of this one, too.
This Indoor Solution
Not everyone is lucky enough to have an outdoor garden. This person had to settle for creating this window sill garden. For the plants to get enough sun, they hinged the shelf, and then they put a mirror behind the plants. Isn’t it genius?
These Water Bottle Planters
Imagine setting something like this up alongside your house walls? I think it might look really cool. These simple mini planters are such a quick and easy idea. These could be a neat addition to your outdoor garden.
This Space-Saver
If you’re like this person and have limited space for your gardening, don’t worry. You, too, can build yourself an impressive tomato and cucumber growing station just like this one. What a fabulous idea indeed, huh?
This Sunflower Reading Nook
One way to get your kids to spend more time outside is to create a little hideaway using sunflowers. What about a reading nook like this one? Wow, I absolutely love that idea because I adore sunflowers.
This Night Garden Idea
Here’s a great idea to make your garden stand out at night. Oh my goodness, I think this looks so stunning. I would love to create a pretty space like this in my outdoor garden.
This Raised Garden Bed/Bench Planter
Creating a raised bed garden is always a good idea. I’m planning to build one this spring. But I’ve never seen anybody incorporate a bench quite like this one. I think this is absolutely brilliant.
This Brick Garden Idea
If you always wanted to grow your plants unusually, look no further than this brick garden idea here. It might not look as pretty as other gardens, but I have to admit I really like it.
This Rain Garden Idea
Here’s a cool way to get rainwater to direct itself away from your house’s foundation. It looks pretty doable to me. And I think it’s such a beautiful landscaping feature to look at, too. What do you think?
This Watering System
Here’s a different take on a similar idea. You can create a raised bed garden just like this one and use rainwater to keep it going. I have to admit this is something I would love to do one day.
I hope I’ve given you a variety of ideas when it comes to gardening this season.
Some of these may require more work than others. But in the end, I bet you’re going to love the finished product. What idea speaks to you the most?
