Rebel Wilson is an absolute treasure. Since her breakthrough performance in Pitch Perfect , she’s stolen our hearts with her endearingly oddball behavior and comedic charms.

1. Rebel is a lawyer.
Before she got her big break in Hollywood, Rebel Wilson was studying to become a lawyer at one of the most elite law schools in all of Australia.
She completed the five-year program right around the time her fame began to take off.
Her degree came in handy when making the film *The Hustle*.
The MPAA had originally slapped Rebel’s crime comedy with an R-rating. She fought to overturn the decision and won!
The Hustle was only the second film in history to have their rating overturned.
2. She’s practically Dog Show royalty.
Rebel comes from a long line of Dog Showers; her family’s specialty is the Beagle breed.
The matriarch of the Wilson family, Rebel’s grandmother , founded the Beagle Club of Australia all the way back in 1964.
3. Rebel is a trained martial-artist.
OK, so ‘trained’ might be a bit of a stretch. But Rebel can certainly hold her own with the Nunchaku (aka Nunchuks).

Rebel was living in South Africa at the time, working as a Youth Ambassador for Australia.
While she was there, Rebel caught malaria and became very sick to the point of hallucinating.
In her vivid fever-dream, Rebel was not only an actress but an Academy Award-winning actress at that.
When the dream was over and the fever broke, Rebel awoke with a renewed passion and drive.
She swore to herself that she would begin an acting career and would make her dream come true.
8. She has an incredible singing voice.
Sure, we’ve all heard rebel sing in Pitch Perfect but just wait until you hear her rendition of “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from Disney’s The Little Mermaid .

During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon , Rebel revealed that while she’s known for comedies, her dream is to be the next John McClane.

Rebel has spoken about her weight numerous times and has stated that she’s been overweight for most of her adult life.
She’s begun taking a more proactive approach to health and personal fitness and has since lost more than 60 lbs.
11. Rebel could have a career as a battle rapper.
Rebel made an appearance on James Corden’s ” Drop the Mic ” segment on The Late Late Show and absolutely put Corden and guest David Schwimmer to bed.
Can you imagine watching Rebel and Eminem go head-to-head? Talk about a battle for the ages.
12. She’s an expert at crying on command.
One thing that even the most respected and established actors struggle with at times is crying on cue.
During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden , Rebel took part in a ‘ cry-off ‘ with James and Anne Hathaway. Rebel absolutely blew them both away.
13. Rebel’s celebrity crush is Channing Tatum.
When asked to name her star crush, Rebel doesn’t hesitate for a moment. The comedic star can’t help but gush over Channing’s performance in the movie She’s the Man .
