Don’t you look me in the eyes and say that this world full of magic makes total and complete sense. Because it doesn’t, it can’t.
It’s a fantasy movie, there’s bound to be holes.

1. The currency
While it’s cool to have your own currency system… how the heck do Wizards decide prices in this world?
Let’s break it down… A galleon is about 25$, a sickle is about $1.50 and a knut is about 0.50 cents.

So a textbook costs about three galleons… about 75 dollars.
Not bad, until you realize a wand (filled with prized magical items) costs about 7 galleons (less than 200 dollars).
And owls cost 6-8 galleons? What?
2. Why do Remembralls exist?
It just seems like overkill if you ask me. It’s something that turns red if you’ve forgotten something, but it doesn’t tell you what you’ve forgotten.
Why not just leave a note for yourself?
3. How is it that none of the kids brought up the sorting hat?
Especially people like Ron or Malfoy, people who had siblings or parents who went to Hogwarts.
Did they never bring it up because they thought it was common knowledge? Or did they not know?
4. Why did Dumbledore let Harry keep the Invisibility Cloak?
Especially during Prisoner Of Azkaban , where people were certain Sirius Black was out to get him.
Why did the all-knowing headmaster give him the means to go around the castle and the ground undetected?
5. There’s a spell for fixing broken bones but there isn’t one to fix Harry’s eyesight?
Does he just like the way the glasses make him look?
They do really round out his face, I’ll give him that much…
6. Why didn’t the Weasley twins report Peter Pettigrew?
For years, these twins had the Marauder’s Map for years, years I tell you.
They never once noticed that their brother Ron was sleeping with a strange man named Peter Pettigrew?
7. Why is there no Muggle music around?
A lot of these kids come from the Muggle world, are you really telling me no one was getting down to Flo Rida’s “Low” back in ’07?
No man, wizard or muggle, could withstand a jam that powerful.
8. If they can teleport why even use things like flying cars and the Hogwarts express?
Why not just teleport everyone to Hogwarts, or why even own a flying car?
Is that Floo Powder just super expensive?
9. Why is Hogwarts considered safe?
Maybe it was safe before ol’ Harry Potter arrived, but it sure wasn’t safe once he got there.
Within the first two books, he’s fighting trolls, giant killer snakes and three-headed dogs.
10. How are love potions legal?
Seriously, a potion that immediately makes a person fall in love with another seems like it would be extremely problematic in the wizarding world.
Not to mention it takes consent completely out of the equation.
11. Why did Voldemort go to such great lengths to get Harry’s blood?
He planned for months to get Harry into the Triwizard tournament, get him to win, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Why not just get Malfoy to prick him with a needle or something?
12. How come they still use owls to deliver mail?
Has the wizarding world never heard of an e-mail? It’s a lot faster than owls, and they won’t get killed by an evil wizard on its way over.
You’ll have to deal with spam, though.
13. Wizards don’t learn any essential life skills at school.
How the heck are they supposed to pay taxes when they get out of Hogwarts?
Or for that matter, do math?
