Whatever the case was, these costumes appeared in more than one movie and we noticed.
‘Pride & Prejudice’ and ‘Sense and Sensibility’
It’s probably appropriate that the same dress was used in two movies based on Jane Austen’s books, so I feel like this one has to get a pass.
They didn’t have mass production of clothes back then!
‘Elizabeth’ and ‘Camelot’
Hm… might have to give this one a pass as well.
I mean, they’re both based on old-timey England (although one is based on real-life and the other is a story).
‘Gossip Girl’ and ‘The Carrie Diaries’
This one, however, cannot receive a pass.
It’s just not cool to steal Blair’s look from Gossip Girl , although I can totally understand why you would want to do that. I mean, look at her!
‘Dangerous Liaisons’ and ‘Hocus Pocus’
One has to wonder why they would use the same dress for two polar opposite movies.
One is about evil witches and the other is about jealousy in France’s royal court.
‘Head In The Clouds’ and ‘Race’
You have to admit, this is a really nice dress.
It’s no wonder that they reused it on two different actresses. It’s fun, it’s yellow, and it screams classiness.
‘My Cousin Rachel’ and ‘Victoria’
Is there a shortage of black period dresses in the costume rooms of Hollywood?
You wouldn’t think so, but if you were to see these movies back to back you’d start to believe it.
‘Manolete’ and ‘Brooklyn’
As you can see, it’s the skirt that’s being reused in these properties.
Probably not the worst thing in the world, but then again, you couldn’t have found a different skirt?
‘Isabel’ and ‘The Hollow Crown’
Despite the fact that kings like to differentiate themselves from others, that does not seem to be the case for these two, who are wearing the same outfit.
‘The Duchess’ and ‘The Scandalous Lady’
How appropriate for two women who have made a lot of money being in period pieces to have worn the same dress in two separate movies.
I wonder if they know…

Maybe this one makes sense because one wrote about zombies (in a way, come on give it to me) and the other is… well, it’s definitely about zombies, it’s in the title.
‘Mad Men’ and ‘The Help’
Ah yes, this lovely little pink dress was used for two lovely young women in two different lovely… young-ish properties.
Once for the hit TV Show Mad Men , and again for the Oscar-winning movie The Help .
‘Snow White And The Huntsman’ and ‘Once Upon A Time’
This might be actually appropriate because both properties feature Snow White as the main character.
Then again, in Once Upon A Time , the actress on the right, Adelaide Kane, isn’t actually playing Snow White.
‘Friends’ and ‘Edgar Allan Poe’s Murder Mystery Dinner Party’
Hm… never thought I’d have to talk about these two pieces of media in the same sentence, but that’s writing for you.
They both used Rachel’s wedding dress for their characters.
‘Titanic’ and ‘Tuck Everlasting’
You’d think it wouldn’t be wise to take a costume from one of the biggest and most-watched films ever made, but that’s just what Tuck Everlasting did.
That’s like giving your protagonist the Infinity Gauntlet.
‘Moll Flanders’ and ‘The Last King: The Power and the Passion of Charles II’
It’s always period pieces, isn’t it? Is there only a finite amount of period piece clothing in Hollywood?
Anyways, this dress was worn by both the titular character in Moll Flanders and Nell Gwyn .
‘The Maidens’ Conspiracy’ and ‘The Tudors’
This purple dress was used in two separate properties only three years apart from each other!
The Maidens Conspiracy used it in 2006, and The Tudors used it in 2009!
‘Your Highness’ and ‘Galavant’
Wait a minute… you’ve seen this costume before! Twice before, in fact! And once on this list!
That’s right, not only was this costume used four times, we reused it on our “reuse” list!
‘Doctor Who: The Tenth Planet’ and ‘Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back’
Considering these are two of the biggest Sci-Fi properties on the planet, it’s no surprise that they share some costumes.
Heck, George Lucas was probably inspired at least a little by the former.
‘San Francisco’ and ‘The Wizard of Oz’
Sorry to ruin your childhood or whatever, but not all the costumes on The Wizard of Oz were completely original.
Then again, I think we all know who wore it best.
‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ and ‘Babylon 5: Babylon Squared’
Why you would take a costume from a movie that not only do most people consider the best of all time but have meticulously picked through four hours?
Maybe as an homage?

It’s no surprise that someone would want to take a funny gag from the greatest sitcom of all time, but “The Puffy Shirt”?
It’s not what I’d call fashion-forward.

Woah! This is the only time I thought I’d see these two properties together!
But then again, they both take place in possible futures for humanity so… I guess it makes sense.

Woah! I bet when Steven Speilberg was making Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom he never thought that this overly complicated piece would ever get used again!

Who would’ve thought that this wacky, faux leather, would be used in anything but a wacky show about vampires?
