Many famous faces in Hollywood have a deep desire to go to space. Some even purchased tickets for Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic airlines space trip.

Richard Branson
It’s very clear that Branson, founder of Virgin Group, has plans to go to space. After all, he’s the one behind the Virgin Galactic Airlines !
While his project has yet to hit blastoff due to failed tests, when it does, passengers will get a two-hour trip to space for $200,000.
Leonardo DiCaprio
After the Titanic , we’re not surprised that the actor prefers space over sea.
He’s even already has a ticket for space! In 2013, the millionaire purchased a seat on Richard Brandon’s Virgin Galactic space rocket. We wonder if his girlfriend will be joining him.
Tom Cruise
There have been reports that he wants to create the first movie directed in space in collaboration with Elon Musk and NASA.
According to Deadline , this project is still in the very early stages.
Rihanna
Like Leo, the singer purchased a ticket on Branson’s celebrity ship in 2013.
She wants to go since she has been obsessed with space since she was a kid, a source revealed to the dailystar.co.uk. She’s also obsessed with aliens.
Ashton Kutcher
When the That ’70s Show actor signed up for the Virgin Galactic, he became the 500th customer to do so!
This earned him a personal thank you from Richard Branson on his website, with Branson saying that Ashton is “thrilled” at going to space.
Katy Perry
Before her divorce from Russell Brand, she bought them two tickets to Virgin Galactic.
“I’m so into extraterrestrial stuff,” she once told MTV . “It’s very difficult for me to look up into the sky in the middle of the night and not think that our planet is one of… a bajillion.”
Elon Musk
This would make a lot of sense for Musk, considering the fact that he owns Space X, a private space transportation company.
But despite this, he hasn’t made a trip up there yet. We can imagine he will soon, considering he was ” overcome with emotion ” during SpaceX’s first launch.

The former NSYNC singer has been so serious about going to space, he even signed up for cosmonaut training .
Unfortunately, he was booted from the program for failing to come up with the $20 million (!!!) tuition.
James Cameron
The famed director has plans to go to space as soon as Richard Branson’s shuttle leaves. He bought his ticket back in 2013!
We can only imagine all the movie ideas he’d get from being up there!

Get this: if he hadn’t become an actor, Tom would have liked to be an astronaut. He even got to portray one in Apollo 13 .

Her role in Prometheus totally prepared her for space.
“I’m totally open to going up into space,” she told Fox News . “I’m sure it would be scary, but hopefully I’d just be going to see what it looks like, so I’d be coming back. I wouldn’t miss anything here because I try to live in the present.”

Like Diaz, filming the movie Prometheus got the actor ramped up for space.
He has been quoted as saying, “If I had the chance to go into space, I’d definitely take it,” according to Fox News .

While she thinks going to space would be a scary experience, she’s totally open to the idea.
“But hopefully I’d just be going to see what it looks like, so I’d be coming back. I wouldn’t miss anything here because I try to live in the present,” she said, according to NDTV .

The actress scored free tickets for her family onboard Virgin Galactic since her husband, Ned Rocknroll, is Branson’s nephew. He also worked for Branson’s space tourism company.
Hopefully, she can go on the same ride with her Titanic co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio!

Not only do these two want to go to space (and have tickets!), they want to sing in space!
The Toronto Sun reported that the former couple will collaborate on a song for Brightman to perform while in space.

The hotel heiress was one of the first to purchase a ticket on Branson’s space tour back in 2013! But that’s not to say she’s not nervous about the idea.

We could totally see Brad in space! He already has some history with his film, Ad Astra .
Like his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, he has a ticket onboard Virgin Galactic. Maybe some time in space together can help these two work out any differences.

Not only does the singer want to go to space, he wants to film a music video there ! TBH, that would be pretty cool.
He declared his wish for this in 2013, calling the idea “next level.”
