Celebrity apologies rarely go the way they expect them to. People are quick to call them fake or insincere, especially if tears are shown, but sometimes people feel true shame about things that have happened and can’t help but get emotional while talking about it!
That’s what happened to one actress who had to apologize for guest behavior, but part way through her video, things take a strange turn.

When internet celebrities get in trouble, it always plays out the same way.
The event happens in which they or their fans do something bad, the celebrity gets slammed, then in a few days we get a tearful video either apologizing for what they did or for what their fans did.
One of these very videos recently went viral on Twitter.
Not for any reason you might think, though.
The video is from actress Lisa Gilroy , and features her apologizing for an incident that happened the previous week. As of writing, the video has over 337k likes on Twitter, boasting 16.5 million views.
The video begins with her psyching herself up to talk about the incident.
She’s sniffling and teary-eyed, clearly having been emotionally impacted by what happened.
She explains that she recently held a contest on her page in which five of her fans got to spend a day with her and visit the set of her latest project.
The visit went completely awry.
She explained that the guests that she brought to the set were extremely rude, breaking every rule she set and even destroying her property!
“[…] It should have been a fun time for all of us, but I think sometimes people forget I’m not just a personality or an influencer, I’m a real person.”
“I made the mistake of thinking these people were going to treat me with respect.”
Yeesh, that sounds harsh. What exactly happened?
She goes on to explain what each guest did, starting with the first guy who apparently “drank from the chocolate river that I said was off limits.” Yeah, touching craft services when you’re not supposed to is pretty rude.
That’s what the next people did too.
“Another person brought their grandpa, even after I said guests weren’t allowed, and they drank the pop that I told them not to drink and they floated up to the ceiling.”
Wait, what?
“A girl turned into a blueberry.”
“Someone completely destroyed my squirrel room.”
That’s right, the whole video was a joke about the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory , and a great one at that!
“One guy shrunk himself down like little, like TV size.”
She continues to play it up like this all really happened to her.
“This is all stuff I have to remedy, and my staff has to take time our of their day to remedy.”
“They spent days juicing that girl to get her to a regular girl again, and stretching the guy…”
She begins to cry as she talks about how the one guest was stretched out to be too tall.
“Then to top it all off, to find out today that the majority of those people also shared my special secrets with a guy in a tunnel.”
It was a perfect joke that had the replies lauding Gilroy for not only the idea, but her acting too!
People were admitting that they thought the video was real at the beginning.
And I did too! The joke was so well executed, the twist impossible to see coming and delivered so, so perfectly.
