Jamie-Lee Arrow opened up about her father, Isakin Drabbad, the so-called ‘Skara Cannibal’ who murdered his girlfriend, Helle Christensen in 2010 and cut off parts of her body to eat them.
He was convicted of murder

A year after the act, Drabbad was convicted of Christensen’s murder and authorities committed him to a mental health institution.
His daughter, Arrow, who was around 9 years old when her father started dating the woman he ended up murdering, detailed her experience with the whole thing.
She calls the woman her ‘stepmom’

Arrow and Christensen seem to have been close, since the earlier went on to refer to the latter as ‘stepmom’, as well as stating, “She made me feel special.”
The now 23-year-old opened up about her upbringing in an episode of Evil Lives Here: The Killer Speaks which aired on April 27.
Arrow opened up about the whole thing

Explaining why she agreed to speak on the documentary, Arrow said, “I want people to understand the darkness I came from and that I actually managed to get myself out from under it.”
“I still struggle with feeling like I am my own person and that my dad has got nothing to do with who I am.” She added.
Her father is out of the hospital now

More than ten years after the incident, Drabbad has been released from the mental health hospital but remains under its supervision.
In part of the documentary episode, Arrow visits her father for the first time in four years.
She recalled their first meeting in years

The 23-year-old recalled how seeing her father again was like, having visited him in October 2024. She said, “He started crying and hugged me and seemed happy to see me.”
“I so wanted to believe that he had changed and that he had become the dad I always wanted and needed.”
She saw his ‘true colors’ again
The daughter then added, “His true colors started to show again. I just have to accept that my dad is actually sick and probably capable of doing that even though it hurts to admit that to myself.”
But since filming the documentary, although Arrow has gone back to visit her father a few more times, she became estranged from him again when he sent her a “long, twisted, sick text message.”
The disturbing message kept her away

“We had some really long and deep conversations, and I did let him know that I love him and I forgive him,” Arrow shared of her visits to her father. “But then something happened.”
She explained, “He sent me a long, twisted, sick text message where he basically threatened me and my family if I ever reached out to him again.”
Arrow explained that she was somewhat relieved he sent such a message because it gave her the closure she needed. She said, “It was like I needed that to understand how sick it all is.”
