Weddings are supposed to be the best day of a couple’s life. They choose to spend forever with each other, plan a wonderful day to celebrate, and hope to enjoy their love with their friends and family.
Unfortunately, things can happen to showcase couples that not everyone you think is on your team is really there to root for you. There can be snakes in the grass lurking around and all it takes is one thing to prove it.
Recently, TikTok user Taylor shared a story that is truly one for the books

Taylor opened up on TikTok about how she received a hate mail letter for her wedding along with the rest of the gifts and cards she and her husband received.
Her husband found the letter first, ripped it up, and discarded it — hoping Taylor wouldn’t find it. However, she taped it back together to figure out what it said.
Taylor and her husband got engaged in November of 2021

The couple had planned to marry in December 2022. However, life happened, and Taylor found out that she was pregnant in March 2022. Instead of having the wedding when Taylor would be pregnant, they moved things up.
Taylor explained that she and her husband got married in July of 2022

In July, the couple had a small and intimate ceremony with just the couple’s parents and siblings.
However, they had already paid non-refundable deposits and bookings for various vendors for the December wedding they were planning to have.
Instead of losing all of their money, they decided to pivot

After having their baby, Taylor and her husband moved their December wedding to July 2023.
That way, they can still celebrate their wedding with everyone who originally intended to be there and have a great time with their friends, family, and their newborn child.
Taylor also shared her usual wedding festivities

She said that the couple had a big wedding and a reception. Her bridal party even threw her a bridal shower to celebrate. She doesn’t regret any of it for one second, but someone who attended their wedding seemed to have an issue with how things panned out.
The hate letter she received for her “wedding gift” was brutal

The letter questions what the couple is celebrating, as they are already married, and calls Taylor out for getting pregnant before the wedding. The person even called the reception a “joke,” saying that Taylor made a big “hoopla” about getting married even though the couple was already married.
The person even poked fun at their child

Not only did they ridicule the wedding, but they also said that it’s silly and juvenile to have their wedding with a baby — asking if peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will be served there. They also asked if they should attend the “rebirth” of their child next year.
People online were absolutely floored

TikTok users called the letter insane, unhinged, and absolutely gross. In addition, people pointed out that it’s not uncommon to have a small ceremony and a big reception later on.
They shared that many military couples do so if a spouse is being deployed and those who live overseas away from family. Many even said that during COVID-19, couples all over the world had small elopements and waited until the pandemic was over to have their big day.
Many people had a few ideas for what Taylor should do with the letter

“I would personally go on my FB, post the note and tag who showed at the wedding, then ask them to remove themselves from my life because we clearly don’t need each other, and if someone is that miserable over MY business, they need to stay far away,” one person suggested.
Everyone had one question:

People all over were dying to figure out who wrote the note.
TikTok users even played FBI, trying to decipher what kind of person this is based on their grammar and language use. Some feel it’s an older person because of the language used, such as “hoopla.” Hopefully, the couple steers clear of whoever this is.
