Help can sometimes come from the strangest of places in emergency situations, like one woman who turned to Grubhub to help her escape a hostage situation.
A New York chip truck, which just so happened to be open in the early morning, received an order with a frightening, urgent message attached, not hesitating to act upon it and help someone in need.

A New York chip truck got the order of a lifetime earlier this month.
The Chipper Truck Cafe, stationed in Yonkers, posted an image to their Facebook page showing a peculiar Grubhub order they received earlier that day. Alongside the image, they told the story of the events that followed that order.
“This morning around 5 am a girl was saved from a 5-hour hostage situation,” the post began.
The image was of the ‘additional instructions’ section on the Grubhub receipt.
The instructions urged the restaurant owners to call the police, but still deliver the food as not to “make it obvious” that something was going on.
She had ordered an Irish breakfast Sandwich and a Cheeseburger, so the truck fulfilled her order and her wishes.
The police were swiftly called.
“Our staff responded immediately and called the police and she got saved,” the Facebook post continued, “I’ve often heard of this happening but never thought it would happen to us. Thankfully we were open and able to help her.”
Her order was placed at approximately 5 AM, with police arriving at 6:20 AM.
Just minutes later, at 6:27 AM, the woman’s captor was arrested.
The 32-year-old man was charged with unlawful imprisonment, criminal possession of a weapon, assault, strangulation, and a few other aggressive charges.
As for the victim, who’s 24, she was taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries.
People are praising the chip truck’s quick thinking and willingness to help.
Even Grubhub recognized their bravery, offering the owners of the truck $5000 to invest in their business.
One of the owners, Alive Bermejo, told CBS News that she’s “extremely proud” of her staff for doing the right thing.
