We’ve all heard the old adage that marriage isn’t to be taken lightly. It’s hard work that requires constant care and a daily rededication to one’s partner.
With all the bad press , it’s enough to turn you off the subject entirely. But now, thanks to the endearing tweets from one lucky Twitter user, those who are unlucky in love are beginning to realize that the “hard work” of marriage is all about perspective.

I’m willing to bet that it’s happened on more than one occasion. For some reason, it seems as if the vast majority of married couples only want to talk about the pitfalls that come with it.
There’s so much bad press about marriage that it caused Twitter user @danielleweisber to question the whole institution.
“I love when married people are like marriage is the best!! it’s[sic] hard work!!! it[sic] is work it is hard and the work is hard!! it[sic] is the hardest work I have ever worked hard at !!!!” she tweeted sarcastically.
“Like ok[sic] I already have a job so no thank you I’m good then,” Danielle concluded.
Her tweet went on to receive over 180K likes and was retweeted over 16K times. Among the many replies was @zev_dm who offered up a different stance on the matter.
According to Zev, at no point has her marriage ever been hard work.
“My wife literally lowers my blood pressure by walking into the room ,” Zev replied back — a fact which was apparently confirmed by one of her nurses at the hospital she frequents.
Zev then goes on to explain how there are no words to explain just how wonderful her wife is.
Zev is one of the millions of people in the world who lives with Autism . She somewhat sadly asserts that the world we live in isn’t meant for her.
“Its[sic] a constant assault of noise and fervorer[sic] and craziness, and the only time it all fades away is when I’m[sic] with her,” Zev claimed in a subsequent tweet.
She also made sure to add that when she holds her wife in her arms — everything around her goes quiet.
For those people hoping to find that same kind of fairytale love, Zev says that it’s always within reach.
In her earnest plea, Zev encourages her fellow Twitter users to never settle for anything less than what they deserve.
Zev’s collection of love-filled tweets has inspired other users to share their own thoughts and opinions on the matter.
Twitter user @bellaswanfan666 seems to think that the real reason people complain about their marriage has less to do with the idea surrounding marriage itself and everything to do with how they feel about their partner.
The tweets even made those with a slightly more pessimistic stance on the matter of marriage hopeful for a better tomorrow.
“I [expletive] love this,” Twitter user @LidsRodney tweeted out in support. “And I have been divorced three times.”
Others even went so far as to say that their marriages literally saved their lives.
Codependency is never a good thing for any relationship and your own happiness shouldn’t be contingent on another person. That being said, there is power in discovering your other half and in learning how you properly fit together.
There’s nothing on this earth worth having that doesn’t require work.
A happy marriage is no exception. But the reward that comes as a result far outweighs the strenuous effort you put into it. Because when you’re with the right person, it doesn’t feel like work — it feels like love.
