Any relationship can have issues that need to worked out, but it’s arguably harder to deal with these issues when it’s not even anybody’s fault. Whether it’s due to sleep apnea or sinus problems, there’s only so much that anybody can do about snoring.
Still, that doesn’t discount how difficult sleeping next to somebody with a chronic sleeping problem can be and there’s no one easy answer for dealing with it.
However, no matter how anyone who experiences this annoyance deals with it, they’ll probably end up with a better solution than one Florida woman.
It all began simply enough: The woman’s boyfriend of three weeks visited her home in Cocoa, Florida.

As NBC12 reported , the couple then shared a night of drinking before at least one of them went to sleep.
It’s also worth noting than this boyfriend arrived knowing that he had issues with snoring.

So he brought some breathing strips with him in an attempt to quiet his rumbling snores, but would soon discover that these weren’t going to cut it.
Based on the argument that followed, it seemed that the man’s snoring was as loud as ever.

What both of them may not have known is that according to the Mayo Clinic , drinking a lot of alcohol before bed can actually increase snoring because it relaxes throat muscles, thus causing causing them to partially block the airway and vibrate.
This vibration is what causes snoring.
But regardless of the cause, the argument that followed escalated into violence quickly.

The woman grabbed a shotgun and fired once, hitting her boyfriend in the side of his torso.
He was taken to the hospital shortly thereafter, where he was listed in stable condition.
The woman, who the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office identified as 47-year-old Lorie Morin.

Morin was charged with attempted murder and aggravated battery in connection with the incident.
Deputies said that the sheriff’s office initially thought the shooting could have been accidental.

The fact that both parties had been drinking before the incident was a likely factor here, but they were largely led to believe that by both Morin and her boyfriend’s statements, which apparently suggested she hadn’t meant to shoot him.
However, the more they looked into it, the more it seemed like the shot was intentional and inspired by the boyfriend’s snoring.

Although the investigation is ongoing, it is now being treated as a domestic violence incident that escalated into gunfire rather than an accidental discharge.
