Everyone knows one of America’s biggest sitcom stars, Roseanne Barr, 71. But no one could have expected the massive change she made to her look.
The infamous comedian went for a one-of-a-kind hip-hop look to star in Canadian rapper Tom MacDonald’s new music video, “Daddy’s Home.”
The new hip-hop look

Barr teased the new music video with long blonde braids and a pair of dark sunglasses. She topped the look with numerous gold chains and matching earrings. This is a striking change from the average cigarette or bottle of wine she normally holds in photos.
She got everyone fired up
Fans were flabbergasted by the transformation, with many expressing their excitement about what’s coming next. One person said: “Rosie in braids is the best thing ever! Rosie in gold braids and gold chains. I wonder if she’s got a gold grill, too?”
Another added: “I just spit out my drink this is gonna be friggin’ legit.”
She’s open about the procedures she’s undergone
Barr has always been open about the cosmetic procedures and surgeries she’s been through. Starting from her 1998 gastric bypass surgery to her nose job, tummy tuck, breast reduction, and face-lift. All these procedures changed Barr on so many levels.
Her gastric bypass was life-changing
Following the surgery, she lost almost a hundred pounds, which left her with a “huge overhang” that she later had to take off. The surgery gave her a push to make her lifestyle healthier and more sustainable, “moving more, and eating less.”
She’s aiming for more for her body
The sitcom star told DailyMailTV in 2019 that she was ready for more procedures and that she would get back to her doctor for more consultations on them. “Now I want a waist,” she stated. “I don’t have a waist!”
Her return to TV
The relatively new cartoon Mr. Birchum marked Barr’s return to TV after her eponymous hit show got canceled due to an offensive tweet.
She posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “As one of the most influential wrong persons I am very proud to be a part of this fantastic series. Also, I am absolutely brilliant in it!”
Why her show got canceled
Barr witnessed the cancellation of her sitcom in 2018 after she compared White House advisor Valerie Jarrett to an “ape” on Twitter. She faced thunderous criticism and backlash at that time.
She tried to justify it
Barr tried to soften the blow of what she said by claiming that she was on Ambien, a drug used for treating insomnia, and that she was oblivious to the fact that White House advisor Jarrett was black.
But it was too late
After Barr’s stunt, producer Wanda Skyes tweeted her decision that she would not be returning to the show. In addition, actor Gilbert condemned Barr’s “abhorrent” behavior and comments. It didn’t stop at this but ABC canceled the show on that same day.
John Goodman had her back, though
Barr’s co-star in the sitcom, Goodman, defended her feverishly, insisting that his friend was “not a racist.” He played the role of her husband Dan in her sitcom and recently expressed that he had no regrets about defending and supporting Barr at that time.
