What do you wear while sleeping? To some, this may be an invasive question, but others are more than happy to share what level of dress they go to bed in each and every night.
This Twitter post recently went viral, all because of one simple question (and an extensive diagram to go with it).
This is a pretty definitive chart.
The Tweet showcases nearly every possible clothing combination that someone may wear to sleep. It ranges from fully covered, with a t-shirt and long pants, to nothing at all!
People are weighing in.
Astonishingly, this chart went absolutely viral, garnering over a thousand replies and more than ten thousand quote tweets! It seems everyone has an opinion, and surprisingly enough, a lot of people are unafraid to share theirs.
Some people sleep completely clothed.
There’s definitely nothing wrong with liking to sleep with multiple layers on. Sometimes it’s really cold. Or maybe you live with other people and you want to be wearing something in case you have to get out of bed in the middle of the night.
While others don’t feel the need to dress to sleep.
If you live alone, or like, in some sort of nudist colony, then all power to you. Some of us were a little shocked to see just how many people out there would actually admit that they sleep in the nude. But hey, to each their own.
There are plenty in between, too.
Depending on the season, some people may find themselves in different states of sleep dress. What works for some may not work for others, and vice versa. When it comes down to it, it’s all about personal preference.
But some don’t feel represented by the chart.
As it turns out, while nearly every sleep combination is up in that chart, there are some still missing. Do people still sleep in nightgowns? Or robes? Or long sleeve t-shirts? Again, do what makes you feel comfortable, I guess.
Some of these options seem vastly unpopular.
Sleeping with a bra, for instance, is a point of contention for many women. They are a bit uncomfortable to put up with during the day, let alone at night.
For others, the idea of sleeping with a top and nothing else is a little… strange. Granted, it does seem like a bit of an odd choice.
And of course, there are plenty of jokes to be made.
I guess you don’t have to worry about what you wear to sleep if you don’t get any sleep? Sigh , everyone’s a comedian these days.
One thing’s for sure, though.
People really, really like to talk about themselves. Even if the topic is something super random or, as some may feel, a bit nosy. But hey, if you’re willing to tell the world that you sleep naked, then there’s nothing any of us can do about it.
