A vape addict recently shared the shocking results after deciding to go cold turkey.
Originally a social smoker, 25-year-old Chloe Rowland found she was too reliant on her vapes to the point that it upset her. When she quit, some results were unexpected.
Her reliance on the vape was unpleasant
Chloe’s reliance on the drug had “quickly slipped into a full blown addiction” in a way she had never experienced and this started to upset her.
“Vaping would be the first thing I did in the morning and the last thing I’d do before I went to sleep at night,” she said.
She would get through her vapes at a high rate
A regular vape holds 600 puffs, but Chloe found herself getting through a 4,000 puff vape in just three days, which was a rate that raised many alarm bells.
Despite this, she admitted she would avoid stories about the consequences of addiction to vapes.
Chloe eventually decided she had enough
After a while, she decided that she had had enough of ignoring her addiction to the battery-powered drugs and decided to quit cold turkey.
She broke down the results of each day after quitting from day one until two months later.
Day one was a drowsy one
As shared by Chloe on LADbible, day one was quite difficult as her body was used to nicotine and cutting it off made her crave it immensely.
The cut-off caused major brain fog for her, with a serious inability to focus the whole day. Luckily though, she was only at her friend’s for game night that day.
Day two was still a challenge
Chloe knew the whole thing would be a challenge from the start, but her first night without nicotine caused her to be anxious and on edge, making it difficult to fall asleep.
She admitted she was shocked her body was having such a difficult time, especially when she had convinced herself the addiction wasn’t that bad.
She was still craving it when she woke up
During the day, she’d still have to fight the nicotine cravings and a slight headache.
Chloe shared that she had expected she’d constantly be craving a puff, but it was more like “intense episodes throughout the day that would subside with distraction.”
By day three she was having physical symptoms
Chloe decided she wasn’t going to write down a plan, but rather keep ignoring her cravings and reminding herself why she was quitting until sobriety.
After 72 hours without nicotine, she started feeling the physical withdrawal symptoms as her body was “running on empty” by now.
She experienced headaches and sweating
The mild headaches and occasional bursts of cravings stuck with Chloe even on day three.
Although she also started sweating more than usual, she was sleeping better on day three than she had been in the few months prior, so the results were already coming in!
The rest of the week came with a mental toll
Chloe started getting extremely anxious and temperamental a few days in but at least the cravings had begun to subside.
Days six and seven were her hardest days having to deal with a compilation of brain fog, anxiety, and irritability. She also caught COVID, which didn’t help.
Things got better from there

Although she was still experiencing cravings weeks on, Chloe noticed her skin and oral health had widely improved, she felt stronger in her body, and was no longer constantly coughing.
Months after quitting, Chloe is still seeing great results. Not only is she feeling healthier, but she is also no longer breaking the bank buying vapes. Cheers to that!
