Often when people move into a new home , they decide to renovate it. And when that happens, strange discoveries can get uncovered. Sometimes folks find a hidden treasure , and other times it’s something that can be a little creepy .

While renovating their basement, this person found a rather unusual painting on the cement behind the wall. Isn’t it quite interesting? I don’t know about you, but this might have been the inspiration behind Burning Man, ha, ha!
2. This Old Fan
When this person stumbled upon an old fan in their bathroom, there was something familiar about it. Upon further look, they realized that the logo is the same one as Beats by Dre. Hmm, interesting, no?
3. This Strange Cubby
This person bought a 1916 house with this weird cubby in the basement. There appears to be a drain in the bottom but with no pipes for any water to enter. Any idea what the purpose of this could have been?
4. This Weird Bathroom Contraption
If you saw this in your bathroom would you know what it could be used for, huh? I, myself, have no idea. As it turns out, it holds a hairdryer, and its attachments can snap onto the plastic circles. Aha!

When I was growing up in Europe, I remember the milkman coming around leaving milk at our front door. But we never had a cute hidden one like this one. Don’t you love discovering gems like these, too?
6. This Crawl Space
This person moved into their new home and then found this crawl space in the basement. Thing is, it’s pretty much sealed tight. Oh my! I wonder what could be so important to be kept away from everyone.

I don’t know about you, but I’m always in need of extra storage space. So if my bathroom sink came with a nifty drawer like this one, I would be a pretty happy camper. How about you?

I honestly don’t understand how it happens that people only discover hidden attics once they move into their new home. Isn’t that something their real estate agent should bring up before they sign on the dotted line?

This lucky person was helping their dad move into his new office when they stumbled upon a trapdoor. When they opened it, the stairs took them into this wasted space here. Wow! That’s pretty incredible. Am I right?

Seriously, people, if I found a message like this written above my bedroom door, I would get the hell out of there and fast. What are these people waiting for, huh? They should head the warning and run, no?
11. This Secret Room
How would you feel if all of a sudden you found out there was a secret room hidden underneath the stairs in your home? Hmm! I don’t think I would feel comfortable going in there alone.
12. This Unsettling Find
Oh my goodness, what exactly do we have here? Apparently, this ominous tunnel is underneath an apartment building. I don’t know about you, but I would not feel easy going to bed thinking about this thing here.

When this couple moved into their new apartment, they didn’t realize there was a tiny shower in the bedroom. Wow! I can honestly say I’ve never seen a narrow shower like this before. Two people will definitely not fit in there.

Excuse me, is that a chain inside of this wall? What the heck is it doing there? That’s the question I would be asking if I was the new owner of this home.

Imagine if you decided to remove an old carpet and found a trapdoor underneath it. Then you open it and discover that a cellar is hidden in there. Would you go down to find this stash or leave it alone?
16. This Larger Than Life Monopoly Board
Who here loved playing Monopoly as a child? Oh, yes, we had some epic battles in my family, ha, ha! So I would be thrilled if I discovered this hidden floor in my brand new home.
17. This Lovely Mural
Let me ask you: if you just happened to find this mural underneath your old wallpaper, would you keep it or paint over it? It’s so beautiful and unique I would be inclined to leave it be.
18. This Gas Mask
If you’re the type of person who believes in conspiracy theories, you might find this WWII British gas mask interesting. Who knows? Perhaps someday there could be some use for it. I mean, I hope not, but you never know.
