In case you missed it, Tuesday April 29 was Donald Trump’s 100th day as the 47th President of the United States.
As part of his celebrations, Trump held a rally in Michigan. But it didn’t end without him making a bizarre remark about his own supporters.
He was celebrating 100 days in office
The 47th POTUS was in Michigan on April 29, celebrating 100 days in office. During those days as president, Trump has made all sorts of changes.
These include things like creating the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and making Elon Musk its head as well as removing government staff from their jobs and being told they must be rehired.
Trump has been involved a lot with international politics
During his second term as president, Trump has also sent people to the ‘world’s worst prison’.
He has also been involved in talks around the Russia-Ukraine war which saw him asking Putin to ‘stop’ while also clashing with the Ukrainian president at the White House.
He’s also changed things in global economics
In his 100 days in office, Trump has also imposed never-before-seen tariffs on almost every country and then paused them which started a new feud between the US and China over imports and exports.
People rallied to celebrate his 100 days
To celebrate 100 days passing of his second term, Trump held a rally attended by his supporters in Michigan where he claimed that he’s had ‘the most successful first 100 days of any administration in the history of our country’.
He tried to do some crowd work
At the event on Tuesday, Trump tried to do some crowd work with his supporters, but it led to him making a bizarre comment towards them.
He made a comment about their weight
Speaking to the crowd, Trump called at the ‘front row Joes’, saying, “you haven’t changed, you’ve lost a couple of pounds.”
“Probably getting one of those jabbers,” he added as he mimicked sticking a needle into the side of his torso.
It seemed a little bizarre
While the comment seemed out of place, many of his supporters seemed to cheer it on.
The 47th POTUS then went on with his speech, saying that Joe Biden was ‘the worst president in history’.
He was also interviewed by ABC for his 100th day
Elsewhere, Trump was interviewed by ABC News for his 100 days in office, where he seemed to clash with the interviewer Terry Moran on more than one occasion.
At one point in the interview, Trump said, “Prices are down, gasoline is down, energy is down. Tourism is going to be way up – wait until you see the numbers. Tourism is way up.” Moran disputed this, but Trump insisted that he’d be proven right when ‘the real numbers come out’.
