Zach and Tori Roloff are speaking out.
The Little People, Big World stars addressed controversy from one of the show’s recent episodes.
Tori and Zach Roloff are getting candid about their second child’s dwarfism.

They Little People, Big World stars welcomed their first daughter, Lilah Ray, on November 19.
Even before her birth, they were anxious about whether she would be born with dwarfism or not.

After all, Zach carries the gene.
This means that any of the reality star’s children have a 50 percent chance of being born as a little person.

That ended up being the case with their two-year-old son, Jackson.
Thankfully, though, it was nothing the family couldn’t figure out together.

“There was obviously some fear, but I have the best resources at the palm of my hand and I was fortunate enough to have some background knowledge,” Tori said .
“I can only imagine the fear of a parent who has no experience with dwarfism but I can only hope we can provide some sort of reassurance to them.”

As Jackson has grown, she’s had to take special precautions with him.
This includes making sure he doesn’t bump his head or fall.

“He has to learn to navigate his world and I can’t put him in bubble wrap,” she explained.
With a new season of *Little People, Big World* currently out, fans have been able to see more of Tori’s pregnancy with Lilah.

On one episode, Zach talked about Jackson having to adjust to the new baby.
“I feel like him and me are going to go on a lot of adventures when this happens,” Zach said.

“I think it’s definitely going to be an adjustment once Lilah is here for Jackson,” added Tori.
“The attention is not all on him, it’s not all about him anymore. He’s got to share Mom and Dad.”
Another episode showed Tori and Zach finding out about Lilah’s dwarfism during an ultrasound.

When this happened, Tori was visibly emotional since her main concerns are self-esteem and health issues for the child.
But on social media, some fans didn’t like Tori’s reaction. Days after the episode aired, she took to Instagram to address her daughter’s dwarfism.

“Social media can be such a fun place. I try all the time to make it positive and uplifting for others,” Tori began.
“Social media can also be a place where emotions run high. I tend to be an extremely empathetic person. I can get really anxious reading others stories especially when it comes to kids.”

She continued:
“I think I tend to deflect my own feelings because I know others are going through far worse things than I am.
She went on to share some of what fans didn’t see on the episode.

“I remember that morning so clearly. I was on social media and found out that a friend of mine who was a month further along than I was at the time, was having issues with her pregnancy.”
“That day she found out that she may never get to meet her baby,” she continued.

“I remember being so absolutely heartbroken for her and her family. So when I went to our doctor appointment and found out Lilah has dwarfism I remember feeling guilty for being worried.”
She continued on, defending her reaction.

“Because at least my daughter was healthy. At least I would get to hold her. I would get to meet her,” she said.
“There are people out there that have way more difficult journeys than I do but that doesn’t discredit my own feelings. The same goes for everyone.”
Tori ended her post positivity and with an important message for fans:

“It’s okay to feel whatever you’re going through. It was harder for me to process having a girl but to have a girl with dwarfism is new territory for me. It’s nerve wracking for sure but I can already tell Lilah Ray is one tough girlsie.”
“I just want to say thank you for the positive support from tonight’s show. That’s why we do what we do. It’s sometimes hard for me to share so many emotions but if I can help one other person it’s all worth it. Feel what you’re feeling and never feel guilty for it-that’s what I’ve learned.”

“I know my Lilah Ray is going to be just fine because she was made in His image- she’s just the way she’s meant to be. And ps- my friends baby was born healthy as can be!! #lilahrayroloff #zandtpartyoffour #lpbw.”
