While us adults are enjoying the world of Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, Conan O’Brien, and Stephen Colbert (among others) when it comes to late-night TV, kids have sort of been given the short end of the stick. Sure, most kids aren’t awake at night, but don’t they deserve some entertainment in the form of celebrity interviews and a charming host?
As usual, it’s *Sesame Street* to the rescue!

The Sesame Street Instagram has announced The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo to fill that void in children’s programming. “Get ready for laughs, songs, and games – all before bedtime! The #NotTooLateShow with Elmo is streaming May 27 on @hbomaxfamily!” they wrote.
Of course, Elmo seems pretty excited.

“Yeah baby! Elmo cleans up nice to play talk show! Ha Ha!” Elmo wrote on his own Instagram page, looking quite spiffy in his suit. The Not-Too-Late Show will include interviews with celebrity guests and is designed to be part of your child’s bedtime routine that will help with the rest of the routine, like PJs and teeth brushing.
Other late-night hosts like Jimmy Fallon, John Oliver, and Andy Cohen will be making appearances to help Elmo learn the ropes.

“Elmo’s friends help with Elmo’s talk show, but Elmo does the notecards all by himself! Ha Ha!” Elmo wrote.
Celebrity guests like The Jonas Brothers, John Mulaney, Lil Nas X, and Johnathan Van Ness will be making appearances on the show as well.
This is such great news!
I’m definitely going to be tuning in to help Elmo kickstart his career as a late night TV show host!
