2020 marked a new year and also a new decade, which means that a lot of people were making big declarations about who they are and who they want to be.
Brooks Laich, former NHL player, has declared that his journey for 2020 involves exploring his sexuality.
“Nothing dirty can exist between two people in love,” Laich explained on an episode of his podcast How Men Think . “A big part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality.”
“And by that I don’t mean if I’m gay or straight.”
“I mean, in my sexual relationship, what is my sexuality and what am I craving, and what are my desires and what are my wife’s?”
Brooks explained that before his marriage to ‘Dancing With The Stars’ and ‘America’s Got Talent’ star Julianne Hough, sexuality was never a priority.

“I woke up as an athlete, wanted to train, wanted to eat, sleep, rest, perform. Sexuality was way below all of that for the majority of my life,” he said.
Because of his marriage to Julianne, though, Brooks says that’s now changed.

“I’ve been exposed to a beautiful new side of life that I’d never explored or thought to explore. It’s amazing, ” Brooks revealed.
Brooks also responded to the question of whether this exploration would involve opening his marriage or inviting another person into his relationship.

“I don’t know if I could ever get that. I can’t ever see myself being physical with somebody else. I just don’t think I could get there. I just don’t,” he said.
It’s so refreshing to see celebrities speak so plainly and openly.

What do you think about Brooks and Julianne’s resolution to explore their sexualities? Do you think it should be private between them, or are you glad they’re broaching the subject publicly? Let us know in the comments!
